  1. Thanks fellas! Also, how much of a difference in sound is there between the RSX-3 and Quintets?
  2. I think the biggest difference would be the woofer size is larger than the rf-63's, so bass being the biggest difference, but the rf-63's get plenty of low end if you are crossed over at around 80hz. Those dual SVS subs you have give you more than enough bass. 2 channel music is another story of course.
  3. Upgrading from the Quintet ll, which I absolutely LOVE. I just couldn't resist, they were on eBay in like new condition, in the box for under $200. These are from the Reference Cinema 6, just without the sub. And for a sub, I bought the BIC PL-200, which is said to be extremely powerful - will also be using a Klipsch KSW-10 with it for more "mid" bass. So excited to finally join the Reference family!!
  4. Seeing as it's ok to mix and match subwoofer brands, I would recommend the BIC pl-200. I just ordered one recently, what a FANTASTIC sub, good lord this thing hits LOW and it hits HARD! http://www.amazon.com/BIC-PL-200-Acoustech-Platinum-Series/dp/B001W3FXAQ And I gotta disagree with the other posts, the RW12d was my other option, it is a fantastic sub. Even though it's not quite up to the RSW level, it would add a lot of spl and allow for higher sound levels at lower frequencies, not to mention smooth out room response. I'd go for it.
  5. I built an 18" sealed sub with an eD driver, it was fantastic. Though I will say they have really made some grave mistakes. Taking orders in the thousands with no way to handle them? Ouch.
  6. Thanks for the welcome! So it's not an indication of problems with amp or fuse? This KSW-12 was bought brand new in 2005, so it should have the correct fuse.
  7. Hey there folks, the green led power indicator is brighter on my ksw-10 than on my ksw-12, just wondering if anyone might know if this is anything to be concerned about? The ksw-12 works great but has a slightly dim power indicator.
