I am having issues with a set of Promedia 2.1 BT speakers. First they only played sound through the subwoofer and headphone jack. Now they produce no sound except through the headphone jack. I tried both the computer and aux inputs but no difference. If I hook the speakers up to a source via speaker wire they play. That tells me it is either in the control pod or the board in the subwoofer. Any suggestions on what to check next?

I couldn’t find a short so I am guessing the capacitor or coil is toast. I bought a replacement off eBay

One of my satellite speakers fell over on its stand and is no longer working. I opened it up and nothing is obviously broken. Any suggestions on how to repair it or just toss it and buy one off eBay?

After almost 12 years I pulled the speaker in question off the shelf and looked at it again. Still no idea what is wrong with it. Can anyone give me any idea on how to troubleshoot the speaker?

One of my satellite speakers appears to have died. I think that the stand it was on fell over and it hit the floor (carpet over concrete). I opened the case but I don't see anything visibly wrong. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot / repair the speaker? I swapped it with another one so I know it is the speaker and not the amp. Thanks Andy
