  1. Thats a pretty good price for sure. I wonder if between the awesome prices through Cory or Fryes if I shouldn't maybe hold off or offer a bit less? Also these are the original rb61's not the rb61ii's that I an looking at used here in town.
  2. Ok he says he bought them new that way so maybe I guess. Not sure how to make these work with the rf7iii's and the rc64iii but I will get it figured out I suppose.
  3. So this is probably stupid question but here goes. There is a pair of RB61's local for $100. I finally got pics and the serial numbers are matching numbers is that correct or is there something weird going on? If everything checks out any reason not to buy them and they are in pretty good shape? Thanks as always.
  4. I talked to the guy and he said they are in great shape but are 20 years old. Still pick them up for the $50 ya think?
  5. I could be wrong on the gauge of the wire but it is considerably bigger than 12awg. Before I was using binding posts I believe and it worked fine
  6. I understand what you mean. I would love to but we are taking a vacation to Hawaii on April 2nd so I cant make both happen unfortunately. So should I just attempt to use the older huge Monster wire that I have then? Or get the 50ft spool from above?
  7. Alot of people like Monoprice it seems or Blu Jeans cables. Ok so it sounds like this audioquest pair is q no go for most. Sp I still have some heavy duty Monster cable wire left from quite a while. Is there any reason not just to use that since it is like 4awg or 6awg? Then I dont spend any additional money on wires and can pit towards the rear and atmos speakers. So what is it with all the cable crap how are there all these stupid expensive cables and hdmi's and all that and it's all a sham? Seems like lots and lots of people think the more expensive wires make a difference and not just the people that sell them either lol
  8. So they are biwire. Those will be fine with my soon to be rf7iii's? And thay seems like a good price for them I think?
  9. I locally found a pair of 10' audioquest crystal hyperlitz speaker cables with binding posts for only $50. Owner says they were $800 originally. I dont know exactly how old they are but is there a shelf life on the cable itself? Does it start to lose quality somehow or should it be just fine? And last is the $50 a good price? If anybody has info on timeframe on these cables it would be awesome or any other info of course. Thanks as always.
  10. Hmmmmmm well maybe it's my turn to grow up then. I looked at both Blue Jeans and Monoprice. Of course Monoprice is quite a bit cheaper than blue jeans cables
  11. Nope that's not me. Plus I would never spend that much on cables. $100 maybe anything over that no chance in heck.
  12. So I do believe that the $100's and $1000's cables are probably not worth it. But really the $15 HDMI is honestly gonna do the same?
  13. Ohhhhhhh wow that much difference really? Well that's not gonna be cheap now is it. Yuck
  14. Ohhhhhh wow. Wtf. That guy is ridiculous telling me that
  15. Well damn that might suck. So I will have some nice Monster Cable HDMI cables for sale soon.
  16. Ok that's awesome news. My room will end up being fairly small so no need for that. Yes they sell audioquest cables there of course LOL. Thanks as always
  17. Perfect thank you very much. That was the intention initially until the Listen Up guy got me all jumbled up. Thanks for the info.
  18. Ok I was so confused when I left there. Well that's good news on not having to buy another reciever or amp. I do already have some decent monster cable HDMI's that I bought when Circuit City went out of business. So are those gonna be just fine or do I need to get something newer and 4k compatiable? I will check out Blue Jeans Cable as well. The audioquest is very pricey I am trying to find someone to buy them from on the cheap if at all possible. I cant waot to get it all hooked up and going. Thanks for the help.
  19. Ok so I am putting my system together a few pieces at a time. With the help of you fellow forum members I have already purchased a SVS PB13 Ultra, Emotiva xpa3 gen 3, Denon x4400h. I am ordering my klipsch rf7iii's and rc64iii hopefully this weekend from Cory. I will be ordering the rears and sides and heights once my theater room is finished. So here is where my potential goof up comes into play. I went to Listen Up the other day just to look around and hopefully check out the klipsch rf7's. That place is amazing for one. So the guy that was helping me after I told him what I was building for a system put me into a spiral of confusion LOL. So when i told him about buying the Emotova and the Denon which I have already bought of course. He tried telling me that if I use the emotiva for the front 3 that I would have to get another emotiva to run the rest besides the front 3 is that correct? Or can I just use the denon x4400h to run the rears, sides, and heights? He did show me a Marantz AV8805 while I was there but that thing is way to far out of my price range so he also mentioned the AV7705 which is aboit half the price. I know with the denon I would have to run rcas to the emotiva and of course I would prefer to do XLR if possible which I believe both the above referenced Marantz receivers have. Oh and then we started talking about audioquest cables and how important he says they are. Omg to much info I never should have gone on there LOL.
