I own a Marantz Sr-18 and believe it is top quality. I spent several months researching and comparison shopping before deciding on this unit. I think it is a very nice match with my RF-7's. It is very quiet and seemed less harsh (to my ears)than Denon, Yamaha, B&K AVR202. Didn't compare with HK. I replaced 2 channel Crown amp and Preamp. The Crown might have played at higher levels but was definitely noisier than the Marantz. I have experienced no problems but have been hearing more quality concerns re: Marantz lately.

They are stamped with a P. I will lightly sand and finish them. Any advise regarding the bad veneer spots would be appreciated. I am so excited about these little speakers! Thanks!

I just got my hands on a set of Heresy's and would like to get some additional information. They are birch plywood and the only numbers I can find are engraved in the back.....93U629 and 93U630. Anyone have any insight regarding these. They sound incredible and cost me $50! The cabinets are a bit rough, ie. two or three spots of chipped veneer.

I was a KLF30 owner for 3 years until the cabinets came loose and I had to ship them in for repair. Lots of slam and emotion......great rockers! Anyway, they were damaged in shipping and Mike B. from Klipsch got me a new pair of RF 7's to replace them. He didn't even get impatient with my nagging him almost daily until they were delivered.http://216.37.9.58/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm1.gifNow that's what I call excellent customer service!!! Anyway, I was quite apprehensive that the RF 7's would be dissapointing. I was concerned about going from 12" to 10" woofers and from 3 way to 2 way. [bR>My concerns were resolved when I got the 7's. I too believe there is more detail with nearly as much slam as the KLF 30's. Both awesome speakers and a great company. ]

I am the proud owner of a set of RF7's that were delivered today and want to share that I am extremely pleased! They replaced KLF 30's and I have been a bit concerned regarding how they would stack up. IMHO they stack up very nicely. I use a Marantz SR18 with them and it seems to do a wonderful job. They may not be the "rockers" that the KLF 30's were but seem more refined to my novice ears. Just my 2 cents. savaja
