  1. Really, really, really nice, I must say! You must show us a pic when you have them both done!
  2. Dee, Thanks for the info on your Klipschorn modded with tactrix mids. Was that a tough job fittin' them in the Khorn???
  3. Ok, so how different would the K-401 compare to the Tactrix? Are they really that different???
  4. I keep reading about how nice the mid-range Tactrix horns are....is Klipsch now (at this time) building new Klipschorn speakers with the Tactrix mid range horns???
  5. Sooooooo.................did they sell????
  6. To Infinity.........And BEYOND!!!!!!!!!
  7. Yea, it's kinda tough to spend $2,000 on speakers you can't see.
  8. I have not heard Khorns against either the Palladium P-39's, 38's or 37's for that matter. Do the Khorns show up that badly against the Palladiums? I'd like to know.
  9. I was 22 when I bought an Aston Martin, nicer than Ferraris I feel - it was a DB-6 and was 10 years old. Paid $2,000 for it and sold it 4 years and 45,000 miles later for $8,000. Was happy for the money I made, now I can cry when I see what they go for. Yup, shudda kept it!
  10. This really is so freaking depressing and I place the blame on politicians, although it seems to be more one side than the other. It's the same thing with guns - I mean come on - who wants low grade morons and terrorists buying guns without checking first. Simple really.
  11. How thick is that flapper part........... can't be too thick unless you play at very, very high levels. 1/8 inch, maybe?
  12. In the right setting, they MIGHT work, or paint them red!
  13. Nice set-up! Now alls you need is a bigger TV to match that wall of sound from those P-39F's.
  14. I've had great sucess with the Pro-Ject Tube Box S preamp - $450 out the door, but you have to change out the tubes (I went with Sov-Tek, much nicer tube).
  15. Wow, $14,000 for an 845 integrated amp. I believe I'll stick with my H.H. Scott 299C amp for $670, and that includes a going over by Craig at NOS Valves. Couldn't be happier!!!
  16. Hey Assumer, did you ever get those P-38F's?
  17. Congrats, and don't forget the photos!
  18. Sergey, I'm sort of an expert on Scott amps and your LK-72 is very similar to my own 299C - and you can't use the newer EH or JJ 7591 tubes because they are bigger than the original 7591's and won't fit. You therefore have to go with original 7591 or 7591A's - which are physically smaller. If you have the LK-72B amp (which is similar to the 299D) there is plenty of room for the EH and JJ tubes. Hope this helps. Steve
