  1. $2,000 OBO

These Klipsch Reference Premiere with a Walnut finish speakers are in Like New condition, saving yourself hundreds if not thousands of dollars vs. buying new. I recently picked these up in Indianapolis from a gentleman who retired from Klipsch. I intended to use these to replace my JBL Studio 590 atmos setup but after several listening sessions, I prefer the soundstage the JBLs still. I'm a bit torn because the Klipsch look nicer and fit the decor of my theater room much better. But one set has to go and felt this will be easier to sell.

    Klipsch RP-504C center

    Klipsch RP-600M bookshelfs

  3. Great speakers, I've owned the JBL Studio line for several years and can't get myself to part ways and try something new. I recently picked up a pair of Klipsch RP Line as a potential replacement but I think the Studio 590s are better than the RP-8000Fs. I'm going to continue to conduct A&B testing sessions, but the early verdict has me leaning towards sticking with the JBLs.

    GLWS!

  4. Long time forum member here, haven't posted much the last several years primarily because cars have been my primary hobby. Fortunately life is allowing more time for both hobbies and have started tinkering in the speaker/home theater space more than I have the last several years.

I have been buying and selling luxury/sports/exotics cars for the last 3+ years. I've been fortunate to own/drive several of my "dream" cars. I've also been able to turn profits after enjoying them which has made it an even more enjoyable hobby!

I posted last year at this time as I was looking to sell my entire XL surround system.   However, I was able to wire the fronts, center and reuse my subwoofer.  The speakers and stands have been sitting in a closet collecting dust.   If interested shoot me a message I am located in Raleigh NC and would like to see these go to someone who will appreciate them.

Interested in XFS stands, DM sent

This is one line of Klipsch that I’ve never owned or listened to

They are great looking and sounding speakers. I always find a way to incorporate them into a setup somewhere.

Just didnt sell well when they came out in 2008. Bad timing economically as they were an expensive set. This speaker retailed for $500 to give you an idea. The XF-48 towers were $1250 each I think. They were an active speaker design, another I think they probably didn’t sell too well.

They don’t come up for sale often, but you can typically get them for a pretty good price nowadays. They are worth a try if you have an application for them!

  9. Hey guys-

I have a used but in good shape Klipsch XL-23  Center Channel. There are a couple of small cosmetic imperfections which are pictured, a small chip and some small scratches. These are not noticeable while in use and do not impact performance whatsoever.

The Icon X line are great performers and one of my all time favorite Klipsch speakers. Perfect combo of performance & style.

I have none of the stock accessories other than the grill. However I do have to stock box to ensure safe shipping.

Paypal or cash only if local pickup. No trades.

Message me directly for additional info.

    Thanks!

    Ready Player One

Dolby Atmos  /  English Dolby TrueHD 7.1

This is a real Audio & Visual treat. 2 hours & 20 minutes of tremendous eye & ear candy.

The object based audio from the Atmos track is powerful, effective & provides a real showcase of your system.

Chapter 2 & Chapter 10 are both demo worthy material... immersing you right in the middle of the action.

The movie itself is a non-stop cultural reference explosion, filled with fun never ending pop culture.

Fun to watch & experience, certainly a blast to enjoy the audio & visuals.

They are a couple of notches down from Khorns and even La Scala's due to their smallish size.

I show Belles sell for an average of $1646, 35 samples.  The highest confirmed sale price was Ebay Las Vegas 11/09/17 for $2250.  The last three sales were $1652, $1850 and $1200, all three in Average condition, not Good.

There is a little value added with the Crites AA XO's but not much, maybe $150 IMO.

Since you get into a nice set of Khorns in the $2000-2300 range Belles for $2800 are not a good value IMO.  At $1800 they would be a better buy.

I thought Belles were larger than LaScalas?

  12. Was just interested in seeing what some of you have for setups in your "work offices." I can't remember who it was but I saw someone who had a nearfield Cornwall setup or something ridiculous. I don't have anything that obnoxious but I really enjoy both my G-17 at my computer and my Heresy's for more serious listening sessions. I also really miss my favorite nearfield setup of XL-12s and Ultimax 10 powered by a little 15 watt Dayton DTA-1. But I had to do away with that when I went to a triple monitor arrangement.

Interested to see what some of you crazies have in your offices, even if it is a home office.

I would think the in-ceiling would sound better than the upfiring speakers but I guess they provide a nitch for those that do not want to mount speakers to their ceiling or cut holes in it.

Love your setup Johnny.  Room looks great.  What brand speakers are those?

    Thanks!

True however I did read an Atmos review a while back that stated that if your ceilings are 8 ft or less that the upward firing Atmos modules would disperse better than the ceiling mounted option. Makes sense if you think about it.

My speakers are JBL Studio 590s. Was sad to get away from Klipsch. But these JBL horns are unbelievable and for the price I couldn’t pass them up.

  14. I was skeptical about it going into it but I needed a new receiver anyways and had the extra speakers around to give it a shot. I was happily surprised once I installed ~1 year ago. My first 2 Atmos setups had upward firing speakers resting on the front towers which yielded good results. However now I have the Atmos speakers mounted directly above the seating positions and that took it to a whole other level. Most 4K discs have Dolby Atmos or DTS:X mixes now and several Blu-ray as well. But honestly my Marantz does a heck of a job upmixing Dolby True HD and DTS Master HD tracks to Atmos/DTS:X formats. I guess what I am trying to say is don’t let the lack of Atmos content prevent you from making the upgrade.

I would consider my upgrade to Atmos one of my top 3 favorite system upgrades of all time. Going from one sub to two was also a significant upgrade IMO so it would be hard to choose between those 2. I have used my setup more in the last year than I had the previous 2-3 years.

    Just my opinion.

Also if anyone is looking for some great demo content Dolby has an app on Xbox called Dolby Access that has nothing but Atmos content. Just an FYI!

     Great video @Youthmankeep em comin!

Thanks for the quick reply Johnny - so you weren't running them through the Monster Power Center HDP-1800.  This is probably why these speakers were discontinued so fast.  Too bad they sound and look awesome.

No I ran them through the HDP-1800, however i didn't utilize the switch function.

I think the fact that they were powered speakers in general coupled with the $2500 MSRP is why they never sold very well and discontinued quickly. That said, the styling and the performance is one of the best I have ever owned.
