  1. Top of the line Klipsch KLF-30 speakers with 2 12 woofers, mid range and high horn. These things are BAD!!! I bought them in 2000 while on active duty, used them in my barracks room for a year and they've been book shelves ever since. Probably have less than 100 hours use on them. One replacement woofer alone is $200.00 so $400.00 for the pair is a steal. Originally bought them for close to $200.00. These will make your house bump....that is, if you're stereo has the Power! Mids and highs can be wired separately on the back so you can run the mids and highs directly from the stereo preamp and the woofers off a dedicated external amp for heavy bass. Neighbors might get mad (or jealous) at the loudness. Nothing wrong with them, just need the cloth covers refinished, materials to do it come cheap. Call or text eight 5 nine - two 4 eight - 6 three 3 one, my names Justin, I may deliver to the local area if need be. Thanks for looking! http://lexington.craigslist.org/ele/3622438487.html No affiliation.
  2. It's OK, I will go home and listen to the $75 La Scalas I picked up last month. []
  3. He emailed me that they have been sold, someone got a great deal.
  4. I haven't heard antything back yet. I emailed him pretty quick too. The KLF-10 are very similar to the KG 5.5s that I had. They have a lot of bass and surprisingly are listed as lower bass extension than the KLF-20 and KLF-30. Enjoy your new purchase.
  5. This description says they do: http://www.klipsch.com/klf-10
  6. I emailed the guy, waiting to hear back.
  7. Good luck! The KG 5.5 are a great speaker with lots of bass. It is like a front ported KLF-10. Let us know if it works out.

  13. These were posted before: 1977 LaScalas with consecutive serial numbers. these have fastrac midrange horns from Daves Fastlane audio....very nice upgrade over k-400 horn, also have ALK universal crossovers from ALK Engineering. all original drivers. I have beefed up the cabinet side walls and added some bracing as well to alleviate side wall flex that original LaScalas are noted for...then new oak veneer applied. I top mounted the tweeters and places some felt pads to reduce reflections and cosmetically cover the original tweeter opening on front baffle...easily put back to original if wanted. The top mounts did increase openess of sound significantly. you can google Daves Fastlane and ALK Engineering to research upgrades....they are near $800 upgrades. these sound increadible and will easily generate clean live sound pressure levels with very little power...they have very nice sound quality and will play as loud as anyone would want.....they are subtle but can absolutely assault you as well. no k-400 colorations with the fastracs and the crossovers are adjustable for the midrange to suite your taste. I also added some 4" legs to lift them off the floor slightly....very nice improvement in mid-bass clarity when I did this. if interested call 315-523-3774 to discuss....thanks. http://syracuse.craigslist.org/ele/3611148517.html No affiliation.
  14. I was going to veneer these, but it's not going to be warm enough to work in the garage for a few more months. Perhaps there's someone out there who is handy with wood, or doesn't mind fantastic sounding speakers that aren't in mint condition. Being Decorator models, they came from the factory in raw fir plywood assembled with butt joints. And being produced in 1973, they're the desirable "vertical" models, meaning that the woofers are offset and the two horns are mounted vertically rather than horizontally. They've been finished in a dark brown stain, and the fronts are covered with brown grille cloth (no tears or pulls) and trimmed with 3/4" screen molding. Both speakers sport the original Klipsch "pie" logos. There are some dings and some chipped veneer along the bottom edges, but they're hardly basket cases. All six drivers work perfectly. The old oil-filled crossover capacitors have been replaced with correct value Sonicaps a la Bob Crites, but are otherwise original. Inspired by the Cornwalls, I've designed my own horn-loaded speakers so it's time for someone else to enjoy these. http://ithaca.craigslist.org/ele/3611189885.html No affiliation.
