  1. FEDEX PROOF??? King kong couldn't have gotten that open lol work of art my friend!
  2. I know I should wear the hat of shame today. I am picking up a spool of 16 awg wire at Lowes today so I can listen to them this weekend while I’m in the garage. No I don’t have any extra pairs of AQ wire lol. I had to get out a scalpel and surgical scissors just to get through all of Bills packaging. My lord the man knows how to ship something. Cambridge audio amp: 27lbs. Bill’s packaging material: 48lbs…. lol It is in mint condition though even the remote looks like it is Mint. Great member to work with. I’m a little disappointed though my NAD IPD2 Dac doc was in also mint condition but they didn’t send the remote which is half the point. I’m trying to get them to respond via eBay if not I’ll have to call NAD and order a remote for it.
  3. You should check out wstricklands garage he has a mini movie theater in his garage.
  4. I recieved the amp Etc,last night got everything connected an of all thig why do I not have??? Speaker wire. I ordered some off monoprice can't believe I didn't think about it.
  5. DON’T LISTEN TO THIS MAN! HE MET UP WITH ME BEAT ME UP AND STOLE MY RF-7IIS. ok I’m joking. This being the 4th member I have met and another super nice person. A smooth pleasant transaction and overall he seemed very happy at my accurate description on mint speakers. I’m OCD so I keep everything I own in pristine condition. My theater is basically meticulously kept nice (except for popcorn during a movie spilling) and I take the utmost care of the Klipsch gear while in my home. I’m super happy you are enjoying the RF-7iis and my wife is super happy they aren’t in our living room. you have some serious toys. I will have Williand’s Cambridge audio integrated amp powering up my Lascala’s tonight! Cheers Cjmustang!
  6. As others Said sure there are other larger forums where you can get other useful info in this hobby and im sure many of us have but this is the one and only that is more like an extended family. I belong to AVS and Audioholics but this is something special. I have made some great friends and had enormous help throughout the years from everyone on here (many that I talk/text on a daily basis). Met a few members and feel comfortable showing my ignorance in subjects that you all can help me with. My wife and I plan to start with our first kid next year. That kid will grow up with Klipsch and a movie theater in his house because of all your help. I grew up playing Zelda on Nintendo on a 19” zenith TV that was in a wooden cabinet. My son (wishful here) will grow up with a 162.9” AT Screen and Klipsch audio behind it. I can’t wait to relive all those classic movie movements with them on the big screen in our own home. Sidenote: I also experience Klipsch the first time at my friends father’s house. He had a Klipsch Bookshelf speaker system with a large Klipsch sub (I can’t remember the models) paired with a onkyo receiver and large Pioneer Tube tv. He had Braveheart playing on VHS and I remember the simulated surround sound quite well. the first time I heard a movie theater like sound in someone’s room was the same person house and playing none other than The fellowship of the ring on DVD then. Blew my mind and I purchased my quintet system and started from there. Such an amazing hobby/obsession.
  7. As excited as you must be with your 150" what had happened to us
  8. Just thought I would post a few photos of what the recessed wall should look like. Grabbed these right off the Seymour website. Hopefully I can get this done within the next 2 weeks and start mounting the Kl-650s as well as the JTR’s. definitely interested to see how the anamorphic lens will work with the curved screen.
  9. Yeah I don't think I will use a sub. can't wait to get them fired up.
  10. Well I have up for sale my 120” Stewart screen. I have moved my 132” out and I am installing that in my father’s house and I’m going to sell my first Stewart screen the 120” Luxus Deluxe 2.35:1 Studiotek GS 130. I don’t have it up anymore as I removed it when I switched to the 132”. I have the tube for the screen and the foam that it came with but I don’t have the box for the brackets so I’d prefer local pick up or I will drive and meet someone within a reasonable distance. The picture quality on this is stunning but obviously from my posts’ I am going with an AT screen and putting my Speakers behind it. This is seriously in mint condition.
  11. Well I should have the Lascalas powered up by Saturday morning. I decided to purchase bills Cambridge Audio integrated amp to get some power to these babies sooner rather than later so I can focus on the theater project. I can always upgrade later on if needed but I’m not sure I even will and hope to just enjoy some tunes with the new Integrated amp. I also purchased an NAD IPD2 Ipod Dac dock so that I can just leave my Ipod touch connected and control my music with my remote while I’m in the garage etc. I’ll snap some photos of the new integrated amp and NAD pieces this weekend. Special thanks to Bill for and Billy for everything. Great guys to deal with both personally and on the forum. Now back to focusing on the Theater.
  12. Because the denon won't go pas the -12 scrappys spl's could be at -14 or -15 and he doesn't know without using his spl meter for sure.
  13. The Curved Seymour fixed screen @ 162.8” should be 156.7”W x 69.9”H x 8.3” deep on the two ends where it curves out. Then the shelf should be plenty big and the right and left KL-650 should have plenty wide of a soundstage and I will make sure they are extremely close to ear level. With the omnimount brackets I can have both the Left and Right angled (toed) towards the center main listening section. When I order the screen, I plan to also order the 2 Side masks they make for it for the curved frame on this 2.37:1 screen. Hopefully I can get the recessed shelf made soon this weekend or the next. I plan to pain the interior back wall of the shelf in the same Black Magic paint that I used on my ceiling and the sides most likely also in black. Excited to see
  14. Well I have someone meeting me tomorrow at 530 after I get home from the office to give me an quote/idea on building the recessed shelf. I will have the recessed alcove to be 10’W 4’H and 2’D to hold the 2 JTRs and 3 KL-650s mounted with Omnimounts. I’m planning to sand the spot where the KL-650s used to be on the angled part of the ceiling tonight and then Saturday morning paint that entire angled section with another coat of paint.
  15. Charleston is similar in many ways to savannah, but larger and nicer in my opinion. If you enjoy visiting savannah you will definitely like Charleston.
  16. I use an Apple TV on each TV and love it. My favorite streaming device.
  17. you will be ok having it at that height and using your lens shift to move the image down. Are you 100% certain you will have to move the projector back.? do you have a little zoom shift with the panny? It seems like when i was there you had a good amount of room between the lens and the screen. I know you definitely don't want keystone effects so hopefully if you do move it back you will still be at just the top of the screen. In regards to my subs behind the screen I'm hoping there won't be any issues with them located in the alcove behind it. Im curious if others are will chime in but Steven said it shouldn't be an issue and that anthem ARC should correct anything needed.
  18. I use a ps3 and ps4 never was much Of an Xbox guy
  19. No I'm mounting them just above where the s2s will sit mate 4" above them. It will be at ear level.
  20. I want to actually tape out the size to get an idea before purchasing
  21. I'm planning on mounting the lcr again with the omnimount brackets just inside the alcove and then both the right and left will be imaged towards the mlp seat.
  22. Ok i have finished the first portion and removed the KL650s and patched up where the ominmout brackets were. I clewed all3 LCRs and covered them and the S2's with plastic. After the spackle is dry ill sand and put an whole coat of pain on the angled ceiling to make it even. Next up i plan to remove the Stewart film screen and have the new recessed alcove/shelf taped out as well as the size of the new screen taped out to get an idea. i'l photo graph that as well. Then if all goes well i plan to have the shelf framed and built next Saturday. I'll photograph each step as it happens. I want as much info from you guys as i can get. I'm not sure exactly how the curved screen monte to the wall and i need to find out before cutting anything. I know I'm going with a Seymour XD curved 162" screen that is a 2.37:1 ratio to pair up with the anamorphic lens. Anyone know the dimensions of the bracket on the back and how much room i will have to play with? i will attached photos below of the room in new project mode as well as the area/wall behind the main wall in the attic space to give an idea. i have plenty of room to go 2' deep. P.S. I took a tape measure for accurate room dimensions. My head is exactly 13.3' from the front of the screen. The back wall is 14' from the screen and the projector back in it's recessed alcove is 16.4' from the front of the lens to the from tot the screen. i can move it back if i need to. I will not be using the zoom method any longer with the new screen though as it will have an anamorphic on a sled.
