  1. Oh, Carl, btw that outlaw was mailed by wuzzz yesterday, should be here this week, I"ll holler when it gets here
  2. I can't get them up in my attic lol, well played
  3. Carl, true that. He changes oil in my whole fleet lol but never mentioned klipsch before, he been holdin out on us. OP, is your house the one with the two canary island palms in front, previous owners were Cassie and John ? they kept the whole neighborhood pissed off using that big circle drive as a used car lot, always had 6 or 7 cars fore sale out front
  4. Carl, look in your left front pocket, its there. I have a KX 250 to trade for these if op loves to go fast, I mean real fast
  5. I"d be interested in hearing these speakers that supposedly sound better than the scala"s, let carl and I know when you get em so we can come hear. I find it hard to believe theres a better sound unless you go with a set of K"s. Just an FYI to the op John Goodyear has a complete Mcintosh setup in the soundroom right now that's a whopping 225K, the speaks are also Mac and cost 100K, we put in some SRV and I thought a set of Klipschorns would give them a run, maybe even sound better. Anyway, keep us posted.....Roost
  6. hey theres a perfect cornwall cab just showed up in alert section for 25 bucks, check it out
  7. Carl, yes I do, I suspect thats prolly the way to go, I"d dang sure put your system up vs anything i"ve ever seen, I bet some rambo, with all the explosions and gunfire is awesome on that thing. FYi, I was bored last sunday so I disconnected that big onkyo in the garage and slipped in a freshly done sx1080 and was blown away at the difference, at 1w you can hear it perfectly from the street lol. thats my measuring point, I walk across the street and stand on the opposite sidewalk and listen, clear as a bell, that sub fills in so nice, and very transparent too. I have a friend with a set of heresys and he has come over a couple times and just cant figure out why mine sound so much better, he has yet to notice the big sub sittin on the floor with a towel over it..
  8. Fellas i"m brand new to the ht fold but an old hand at the vintage 2-channel sound, with nearly a whole room full of silver pioneer receivers. I seem to have collected most all the sx 50"s and 80"s but I guess none will work for ht. I just figured since all, well except for my Mcintosh system, is pioneer I would try to stay in suit and get a pioneer ht amp also. So I guess my question would be whats pioneer"s most badass ht receiver, I looked at some at bb that claimed maybe 700 watts, I think, I just remember laughing at the claimed wattage thinking if that were real watts it would blow the house apart. My sx1280 has 185 and you cant get it past 9 oclock on the dial, about 5 watts is all you can stand. Guys give me some suggestions and please forgive my ignorance, I think I was hit in the head one to many times playing football. Also I have a housefull of klipsch heritage so hopefully i"m covered as far as speaks go, thanks, Roost
  9. I think I answered this in general questions ? but yea, hell 5 watts is plenty for scala"s
  10. Carl, i"m pretty sure I do but i"ll check, and for some reason i"m having trouble again signing in so I can post. My laptop wont do it and now the home pc wont either, I borrowed my daughters laptop to make this post, dont know whats up over here....
  11. I"m listening to mine right now at pretty hi levels cuz knowones home, got some MJ cranked, watt meters peaking at 2wpc, you"ll be fine
  12. runnin, when you get em where you want em be sure and put some howards feed and wax on em, good stuff, beautiful speakers you got
  13. CF, nice setup bro, love the duel subs, which ones are they. I have a single outlaw sub hooked to my heresy"s and wish I had another
  14. man yall at 1k thats a steal, what are you Mich boys waiting on, they look very clean which is rare for lsi"s, usually they"ve been hauled all over creation and beat to hell
  15. I have of bunch of mexican workers that spend all their money on gamecocks, thats where I got my start. Its crazy, they bust *** all week and i"ll give em 500 bucks cash and they"ll spend the whole thing on a rooster, no wonder they never get ahead. They used to take them just across the state line to louisiana but they have changed everything up over there I understand. I have a 100 acre ranch that I just turn mine loose on, I love to just watch em also. I will ask my guys when they get in this evening.....Roost
  16. dang bro, sure hope it gets a frenzy at the last minute, 1200 bucks is way to cheap for that rig, I have a 2000 S-10 with a 4 banger with 109k and turned down 5 the other day, I do all my buggin around in mine while the big 4wd sits in the driveway, good luck......Roost
  17. Rigged, I have a rooster just like the one in your avatar, have a bunch actually. Those chorus are a smokin deal at 4, but I bet he"ll go 350
  18. dang somebody needs to jump on these, great price if their clean
  19. that site is the biggest pita to navigate, i hate it
  20. Scrappy, dang man I see your runnin duel PB13"s, I bet that rumbles lol, your givin Carl a run with all those room-full"s
  21. Rippy, nice bro, thats one bad boy right there, 145lbs, keep us posted
  22. One more thing, I bought an Onkyo dock for my ipod and hooked it to the aux port on a sx850 for my daughters room, the dock has a video out and I had a 15in lcd lyin around so I hooked it to the dock also and you can pull your playlist up on the tv and scroll through it with the remote from the onkyo. Running it through that old pioneer takes the edge off that shyt music they listen to and makes it half-*** tolerable lol, and it keeps the ipod charged, worth the 120 bucks for sure........Roost
  23. you guys are right on here, the sx will give a fuller, richer, warmer sound than the new digital stuff. The 680 is the baby, but any sx hooked to heritage is awesome, 90% of klipsch dealers in the day sold pioneer and usually Mcintosh, their truly a great match. If I were the op I would consider keeping an eye on cl for one of the big brothers, alot of the sx freaks like the 50 series better than the 80"s, suposedly easier to obtain parts and work on. I have all the 50"s and 80"s except for the 9"s, op, look for one of these 4.......sx850 & 80, or sx950 & 80. You should be able to acquire one for under 200, and then if you drop a hun having it gone thru your still good, you will have something that will last forever and deliver better sound than any digital stuff, and that silver is just beautiful. You will thank ole Roost in the end.........Roost
  24. now if I could just stumble on a set of Belles the way I did those scalas it would sure be nice, belles are down right beautiful, never had the opportunity to hear a set though
  25. I just wonder how much difference there is in the l and ll, seems like nearly everyone has the lls. The l"s dont have the passive, correct ? seems like that would make a huge difference
