Besides you posted one with a horizontal center. So Bose figured how to basically make the worst system ever invented even worse lol

I'm not biting on that one.

I'll hit on something that Not a single person has mentioned. LCR is king in home theater. Period. I don't care what anyone thinks they know. Three matching speakers across the front is the PERFECT front stage. PERFECT panning. PERFECT timbre. Need I say more? Get some khorns for 2 channel down the road. But stay on the LCR train. It's where it's at buddy.

Yeah see the cherry in person and you will know why it's cheap looking. @willland maybe a pic of your cherry rsw-10d next to a rt-10d?
-
I'm not a fan of cherry vinyl. Cherry veneer yes. But the vinyl is really cheap looking.
-
thats a bummer. you could always hold out. some used ones will pop up eventually. have you looked EVERYWHERE for them?
-
Yeah I owned both pairs of 51 and 61. Big step up.
-
Doubtful. But hey you never know. I know of a pair that is about to be for sale
-
You have an AT screen with the three towers behind it?
-
If you have identical LCR I WOULD NOT ampnthe left and right without doing center too. Amp all three or leave them alone is my vote. And rf-62 shouldn't need anywhere near that kind of power.
-
looks like amazon has brand new rb-51ii for 399. hifi heaven has them for 329. id take that deal if you want the right stuff to match.
also looks like hifi heaven has the rf-52ii as well. at least it let me add them to my cart.
-
i also just noticed your signature. please tell me you dont have a rcx-4 center with a pair of rf-63's in your home theater.
-
i wouldnt be interested in mixing polk with klipsch. however i also would not be interested in damaged speakers. take them back and patiently wait for some used ones. something will pop up. i personally have sold like 5 pairs of rf-52ii over the past few years. I've snagged them for as little as 150$ a pair.
-
Yeah imo that's one of the biggest mistakes I've seen them make since I have been in to the brand. Might have a few new customers in the process but letting them think they are getting "better" but also hurting their reputation with people that already are customers.
-
For what's it's worth I would try and have someone demo before buying. I personally received a damaged sub. Box looked perfect and when I opened it there were cracks in the veneer all over the place. Klípsch replaced it with a new one but I'd hate for you to sell that to someone and then get it home to find it was damaged inside the box. Good luck with the sale. It's a sweet sub. I thought mine was awesome. If I had the cash I would still have it and a pair of p-17s for a 2.1 setup

Been reading through some old post about heritage versus reference. There's a lot of love out there for the heritage series. I still need some surrounds so I may have to go ahead and grab some Heresy's when I find a decent deal. I know those aren't anywhere near the top of the line but are they a good representative of the heritage series in general?
They are a great representation of the heritage sound.

Youth man don't be scared to say it. It's synergy stuff. You have the right advice, and steered the guy in the right direction. I wish Klipsch had never done that cause now even more people associate reference stuff as "best buy garbage"

The SVS PB16-Ultra looks like something else. Paired with a (hopefully) repaired RSW15 -
Opinions? Over power the RSW or vice-versa? Compliment each other?
Thanks again
Grossly overpriced in my opinion. Where are you located at?
-
They have great bass but they still need a sub with any kind of real rock and roll.
-
Actually out of the discussed speakers the rf-7ii will have more bass and heresy will have more base......
see what I did there?
-
I get what your saying you but you keep saying things like "perfect" and it's not. It's the best offered in the reference line up for sure. There is no "perfect" horizontal center channel. There is "good as it gets" with in a certain line.
-
Any update on this after boom mic?

Yeah rock music, heresy will leave you wanting for more in the bass department. I find the cornwalls to be ok for some stuff without a sub but even they benefit from having a sub.

Hey frank, I'm writing in your thread to keep things more on topic with what your doing. If you have RF-7ii in your future then the rc-64ii is what you want. The 62 won't cut it between those big boys. Now if you can get a third rf-7ii between then be prepared to be floored. It won't get any better than three matching LCR. But that's usually not possible for most, so 64ii is your next possible solution. And regardless of what I said and what everyone thinks, there are better centers out there than the 64. Doesn't mean it's still not a great center. Even youthman above said once he heard the la Scala as a center compared there was a huge difference. But he will say the same, 64 is still a good center.
Would it be worth it for me to get KHorns in my theater room?

hey budman have you ever heard an LCR setup? if not maybe you can just do a quick google search of it and see why any big high end DEDICATED rooms get lcr speakers. like i said i dont care what you think you know, LCR is better for theater use.
besides i dont need Khorns or la scalas. i have cinema series, and to my ears and MANY others who have heard them both, mine are superior. sorry
