  1. would you consider other brands of subs? There is a ton of competition out there and alot are great values for your money

svs's pb-12nsd was mentioned in the sw-115 opening thread. a gentleman had the sw-112, and returned it to get the svs-pb12nsd, and said hands down a way better subwoofer. i would defenitely explore some other options over klipsch's new subs. unless you can find an older rsw one.
  2. Massey my plans are to have a curved row of four with black leather in the back. Then up front I am looking for something I seen in a magazine once. Basically imagine a sectional with the really wide chair and a half ottoman built into one end. Now cut that side off then find a mirrored side of it. So basically would have a large u shaped fixed seating up fronts. Adults in the backs. Tons of kids could be up front, or you and a lady could snuggle up on it as well. I'll see if I can find the picture somewhere

  3. Viper do yourself a favor and save a little longer and wait for a good sub. Something in the rsw line if your wanting klipsch. 300 limit doesn't leave you with much. Move up to 450-500 range a few more months down the road and you will be much happier in the long run. 99% of the guys on here would agree with that. Other wise it cost you much more in the long run. Happy hunting!

  4. What I want is a relatively loud, very clean and musical, 10" powered sub for my sysem.

so this will be a little harder to meet this criteria in your price range. you could spend some time and maybe be able to find something used for that amount. new you could try this: http://www.amazon.com/Velodyne-Impact-12-12-Inch-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B001HMN1LU/ref=lh_ni_t

velodyne is a great company. i had a few of their lower end subwoofers when i was younger and they were great!! however i have not heard this one so i am not sure how it would sound.

aloso not sure if you could up your budget a bit but i hear great things about these companies as well:

the svs are a little more expensive, but i can tell you i just got one and they are amazing. and if you could hold off for a while there pb-12nsd gets great reviews and would probably be all the sub you would ever want and would last you a long time if you took care of it. all food for thought. everyone preaches on here to wait and get what you want so you dont get the upgrade bug down the road, cause it ends up costing you more. good luck with your search let us know what you end up getting! 5. I would like real users of this speaker to comment of it for me. To be honest, I am now trying to compare it to the Polk LSi7 bookshelf speaker. Can users of thest speakers compare them for me and tell me the plusses and minuses of each model.

while i am not a owner of this speaker, i have heard them many times as i live right down the road from a klipsch dealer and spend alot of time there. i can tell you that either the rb-51 or the rb-61 will be a great speaker! however i think for the price difference, i would go with the rb-61's. they sound like a much larger speaker than the 51's for sure!! and also not sure if you are aware but if you email or call the guys at acoustic sound design, or sound distributors, they can give you a great deal on these speakers. i think last time i asked about the rb-61ii's i was quoted 399.00 shipped. and that is a great price for that speaker.

  6. awesome i am jealous!! i have been making so many calls to shops that might have the display models left for sale but no luck. you would think in southern california there would be alot of audio shops for how may people, but it's just not the case. good deal for you!! so you moved the 42's to the middle right? and now have the 61's in the back?

  7. i got the h15 and it does what its supposed, i cant compalin. i got it for 50 bux on craigslist from a woman who got her hsubands klipsch stuff in the divorce along with the h15 and she was happy to get rid of it

That is the battery back up one right xero? Do you have your projector plugged into it?
  8. I just clicked buy it now on ebay an hour ago... $700 delivered, new in box.

I'll tell you when she gets here.

congrats! I think you are the first if I'm not mistaken. Everyone on here will be waiting to hear about. I would suggest the sw-115 thread in the sub section. Lots of talk on there waiting for YOU!!
  9. The APC seems to be the most expensive, but it's a battery backup as well. Now I read that it's good to have stuff with fans for cool down plugged into a battery backup. Something like the projector. Is there a lot of truth in that or just a myth? And i would be moving around Missouri most likely and growing up lots of thunderstorms equals lots of power outages.

  10. so i know that there are lots of opinions on wether or not you need a power conditioner for your theater and wether or not it makes a difference in quality of sound or audio. well with all that being said i have come down to my opinion being that i think it is a peace of mind thing to have. so with it being something that i can afford and i would like the best bang for your buck and would prefer it to look nice too. i have narrowed it down to a few in my "budget". the following three.

Monster HTS 3600 MKII 10-Outlet Power Center with Stage 3 Clean Power

Belkin AP41300fc10 PF60 PureAV Home Theater Power Console - Black

APC H15BLK AV 1.5kVA H Type Power Conditioner

not sure if those copied the hyper link or not but you get the idea. those are all around my budget and each have a few differences from the other. if any of you have any info from owning them for a period of time over what a reviewer would write it would be greatly appreciated

  11. i am no expert as i have never had to integrate two different subs, however i can tell you i have read countless threads on here about sub integration. so you ask if you will have a problem. my honest answer from what i have read is that unless you are a professional installer and have years of experience, it will probably not be easy. however with that being said it is not impossible. there are things out there to help you such as the sms-1 from velodyne. i recently heard a guys home theater and he had three different brand subs and his bass output and distribution was phoenominal!! i myself would recommend trying to find another match to what you have. or you could do what i did, and what everyone recommened me to do, i sold my old three subs and bought one beast!! the svs pb-13 ultra and holy cow is it amazing. whole different ball game from the klipsch rsw-10d that i came from. anyways food for thought, good luck with your search. let us know what you find.

  12. WOOOOHOOOOOO! man i was hoping when i had seen you pm'ed sanji that you were going to get this center channel. i wish i could amp mine just to hear the difference!! i would think you could call pioneer and get a new mic for your avr. anyways let us know after you get one and hopefully hear the difference. might be able to buy a radio shack spl meter and tune from there for levels. and then just adjust cutoffs manually. shouldn't be hard. good luck. setups looking good!!

  13. so i got the new amp in, and i am thinking this other amp was messed up from the get go, cause this thing sounds even better than it did...unless a week with no bass in the house made it seem better. but i think it sounds a little cleaner and more effortless than before. either way this thing is amazing!!

they shipped the amp the same day as i called. it arrived quickly and well packaged. outstanding customer service at svs. highly recomended!!

  14. I love my apple tv. I have the older gen with a hard drive so no need to stream. However they aren't quite blu-ray quality. But get 160gb for movies for 200 not 5000. At least last time I looked at those that's about what a base system started at
