3's get my vote. Classier in every way imo minus the veneer on front. But I like the new baffles. Chamfer, black, magnets. Just better.
-
Another vote for the. Ultras. Very musical subs. Loved mine

Wow another duplicate. @Youthman another one needing deleted lol

@Youthman another one.

@Youthman can we get this guys thread fixed so it's less confusing or just gone?

They might go on sale on the klipsch site. But if you know where to buy from you can get them cheaper all the time anyways.

@etc6849 looks like you got a interested buyer. Not sure if you are still getting notifications for this post without being tagged

Damn that's a deal. Could you send a link to the group please?

This was a Craigslist score. Not a sale.

Possibly. Someone on the Facebook owner group just picked up a set of 7ii's, RP-450c, RP-250s pair and a r-115sw for 1000$. Killer find.
-
Hit up @MetropolisLakeOutfitters For pricing on them. Don't think the 7ii will change at all except where they are advertised for full retail. But if you buy from the right place you'll never pay that anyways. And you will not see "b-stock" go down at all.
-
Are we talking for surrounds? If so usually 240/250s style go on side with direct firing (160) for surround backs.
-
8 18's feels like everything you could ever dream of lol. i hope you get the 115 sub. its the only klipsch sub id even consider. try hitting up @MetropolisLakeOutfitters for pricing on one. he's an established for member and a klipsch dealer and an all around great guy to know!

That's awesome! Were you able to get them for a little less or was the seller firm at his asking price?
Yes, not to mention they are HUGE. Here is @Scrappydue room with some DIY 18" subs. I'm thinking he has a total of 8 of those DIY subs? Can't remember.
Yep 8 now. All the way to the ceiling.

Center is the number one most important speaker following with sub close second. You wet big on the sub which was the correct thing to do. Get the 450c. If you have to save up for a bit then do so. You'll be fine without for a little while. You'll regret getting a 250 and end up with the 450 anyways then you'll lose money selling the 250 at a loss. Trust some of us that have had countless theaters. Upgrading is more expensive than just doing it right the first time. Welcome to the forum!

You betcha I did. Were those ours on the dock? I know they can't all look like the photos of the Cornwall, Heresy & Forte IIIs at Klipsch . com. So after looking when I searched for CA Blk Wlnt with all the letters of course I found a wide variety of looks in planks and veneer available out west.
Yep those were ours.

@MetropolisLakeOutfitters I'd like to be able to get my hands on some of those silver luster grills. Depending on if mine come with the burl or the streaked look at the graft of the English & California Walnut like the first photos it could look great like those rosewood Heresys. Let us know here if those kind of extras ever become available.
did you order the other set of cali blacks from him?

Well yea I did read his responses to the mess just before I joined at this thread. I see how those couple of ideas thrown around would not do as intended, but the opposite. Scrap that.
@Scrappydue turned me on to a dealer here @MetropolisLakeOutfitters, and we talked (dealer & I) just a couple days ago. I might be among the first of the group but I'd bet there are some closer to Hope that could get set up sooner. Plus the Fourth Of July might delay things. Nothing wrong with Heresys to me either, but to go 12hz lower without having to spread a couple of subs out will be great. The new mid and high drivers with noted sound stage improvements!!! Bi-wiring will give me 120w/ channel that's a boost for my system. I'll let you guys/gals know and maybe flood the thread with pics cut only halfway down, my phone makes `em 4032 X 3024 pixels.
I may actually be the first in the group. Hard to say. But the first two sets cory ordered were for me and him. Either way. I'm pumped for these

Front ported 61ii that can hang flush on wall get my vote. They should have not rear ported the 160's.

Unless you have a huge room and the main speakers must be positioned very far apart, and you feel that it is necessary to fill-in the center with sound, why not just use the "stereo downmix" vs. "5.1 downmix"? All of the music (and movie content) will be presented via the 2 main speakers if you select "stereo downmix". (Results may not be as good if you select "5.1 downmix" and don't connect the center channel. I suggest that you experiment, and decide what sounds best.)
You can still use a subwoofer (or multiple subwoofers), via a 2.1 configuration.
That leaves open the question as to whether there is any worthwhile rear channel content. I recently listened to rear channel content of the recordings that I often listen to, and decided that the small amount of rear channel audio has little value to me.
My Oppo players (UDP-205, BDP-105, BDP-95) support 2.1, and I'm very satisfied with this arrangement for both music (classical and opera) and movies.
Robert are you the one with a bunch of nice high end gear around Kansas City? I feel like we have talked before via pm
