  1. I believe you are right. Black Oak was on my mind due to my other speakers. Thank you for the correction.
  2. I have a pair of mint looking Black Oak Klipsch Heresy II speakers. These were bought from the original owner. Serial numbers are in order and they have an amazing sound for the size. Asking $500.00, OBO, for the pair. I live in Knoxville, TN.
  3. The RS-62II's are sold, but the RB-61's are still available..
  4. If interested, please make an offer. New surrounds have been purchased and I need to find a new home for these.
  5. I hope so. Already have several people asking about them.
  6. I posted the RS-62II's a few months back, but wasn't ready to sell them at that time. Now I am, along with my RB-61's. The RS-62II's were purchased 7 months ago from Vanns. I purchased these new "A" stock from them. They have only been used 4 times since the last posting due to my travel schedule and everything else we have had going on this Summer. They are in great shape. I have all the packing materials for a easy shipment. I am asking $600.00 for the pair, shipped and insured. Paypal is acceptable, but include 3% more for the fees. The RB-61's were purchased off AVS back in October. I purchased these new as well. They have been used as back surround speakers, so they have been barely broken in. I have all the packing materials for these as well. I am asking $300.00 for the pair, shipped and insured. Paypal is acceptable, but include 3% more for the fees. If you have any questions, please let me know.
  7. Looks like the 12-VB's are probably out for sure, due to their size. The 8-VB's are still a possibility though.. I just don't have the space on each wall like I originally thought I would without it looking too crammed. Still not ruling it out 100%, but it is going to be hard. Thank you.
  8. I like how you mounted those. In my room, I think I can make those rails disappear with some paint. Or at least make them look decent. Wonder if Klipsch makes some sort of mount that you can purchase...
  9. I agree with you 100% that it isn't a good deal.... I remember that when I was pricing it out a year ago, it seemed to be much cheaper for everything new. He seemed to be pretty firm about the price, plus he didn't want to break the system up....so I am not going to pursue it for my brother anymore. Actually, trying to convince him to go with some Pro Cinema speakers for his new room..:-D
  10. A couple of reasons.. 1. I wanted to hear the complete system 2. My brother is actually interested in getting it for his basement.... The guy emailed me back and he says they have never been open, but he isn't willing to break the system up.
  11. I shot the poster an email... we will see if he responds to it.
  12. Now that I have determined that these will work....my next question is, How do you mount these on the wall?
  13. I'm still running those and have never thought of using anything else. Probably the only speakers I have never changed once I installed them. They do an excellent job of dispersing sound and are just outstanding for sound effects. They are large, so a dedicated room is almost a must, unless WAF is not an issue. I don't think you can go wrong with the 12-VB for side effects....they are just fantastic....you just don't know they are there when listening to a movie.....which is just what you want. Appreciate all the feedback on this. I am going to move forward with the upgrade as soon as I can determine if the 12-VB's will fit on both walls. One wall has no issues, but the right side might be a problem. The 8-VB's are an option as well. In talking to guy at Klipsch, he still thinks the 8-VB's would be a considerable upgrade over the RS-62II's... Then I have the decision to make on the back surrounds....most likely the 1201's will be what goes back there. Yet again, I have to make sure I have the proper space to install them. Anybody have a good place they recommend to purchase these? I have a few options, but wanted to see if any additional ones pop up.
  14. Yes, I will end up with three DO boxes for a grand total of 6 18" SI drivers. Each will be getting 2000 watts. If I can swing it, I will possibly add a fourth....but that will be down the road.
  15. They are pretty darn impressive. The guy who built them for me did a heck of a job on them. I am still running that single HSU VTF-15 up front next to one of the Dual 18's until my third box is done. ;-D I will say that I do miss a little of what the HSU did ported versus a completely sealed setup like I have now. Overall though, MUCH, MUCH more in overall performance going this route.
  16. Already did and they were very helpful.
  17. Thank you for the information. I looked up his room and it is similar to mine in size and layout. Probably going to email him and ask him a few questions.
