  1. I just purchased a used set of Ultras, and one of the satellites had the stand cracked off the bottom when the box arrived. Does anyone know where I could find a new stand for an Ultra satellite? I can try contacting Klipsch, but I kind of doubt they still have parts for these. Thanks.
  2. Wow, that's quite an upgrade. Congrats!
  3. HOLY CRAP!!! They are HUGE! I like 'em.
  4. These pictures are a little dated (and the quality of the pics isn't great), but there are a couple shots of my RF-7s in here. Home theater shots
  5. There are a few different ways, but the latest flavor is Dolby PLIIz.
  6. Here's a link to some pictures of the New Antioch Cinema: http://picasaweb.google.com/mountainmac/TheaterJuly2007 I just realized the pictures are a little dated. The Oppo has been replaced by a Toshiba HD-A2 and the Denon 3803 has been replaced by a Denon 987 (needed those HDMI inputs). More work to be done down the road, but I'm pretty happy with it now.
  7. How about Parasound? I think a used HCA-2205a can be found in your price range.
  8. Well, I guess that does it. I'll stick with the RB75s as my rear channels, and they'll just have to be about 4 feet apart. Thanks for the responses!
  9. Thanks for the responses guys. Good to hear that a 4 foot spread may not be too much. I'm using a Denon 3803. I'll take a look at the manual to see if it suggests anything specific. Columns aren't really going to be an option, due to the amount of room I'm going to have between the rear seats and the rear wall. I need space to walk between them. If I did have to go with a pair of RS7s for the rears, what would I be losing vs the RB75s?
  10. I'm in the midst of finishing a dedicated room in my basement. The room will be about 15x22 with two rows of seating. I have RF-7s and RC-7 for the front, RS-7s for the sides, and RB-75s for the rears. My plan was to build boxes to allow me to sink the RB-75s into the rear wall making the front of them flush with the wall, but due to obstructions behind my room, I could only do this if I had 4 feet between the rears(each one 2 feet off the center of the room). That seems WAY too close! So, I am thinking about purchasing another pair of RS-7s for the rears, and using the 75s somewhere else in the house. Hung on the wall, I could spread the RS-7s so I have more like 6 or 7 feet between them. My question is how much sound quality am I losing in my HT by using the RS-7s rather than the 75s? The bookshelves seemed perfect for surround back speakers. (Note: I'd guess the room will be used 80:20 movies:music.)
  11. I'm trying out a Denon 3805 with my Ref7s, and it sounds great. I also tried out a 3803, and it was very close to the 3805. The one nice feature of the 3805 is the Room EQ with the optional mic...it works great. While you may have a tough time finding a 3805 for $900, you should be able to easily find a 3803 for under that budget.
  12. Subject says it all. What are some good options for stands for my RB75s?
  13. Griff- OK, you can't throw that out there like that! If I hadn't set the $850 budget...what was your suggestion?
  14. What would be your thoughts about using a Denon 3803 as a processor with the Parasound? With the 3805 coming out, I'd expect prices to drop on the 3803. How much better would the 950 be than a 3803 that is simply handling the processing?
