  1. No offense but you can't just bring a pair of speakers to a forward air terminal and expect to ship them out. You have to pack them BEFORE you get there. That's like bringing an unboxed stereo reciever to the fed ex counter and saying... "Hi, I'd like to ship this!"
  2. A pair of CWs back to back sitting in the middle of a 40x48" pallet aren't going to be damaged by a forklift. If the Forklift operator somehow misses the GIGANTIC holes in the bottom of the pallet and stabs your speakers 6" above where the forks are supposed to go... well, then forward air needs to man up and pay for them with their insurance. If the vault was easily found and quickly shipped into action I feel it would be worth using. But, when someone needs it, posts asking where it is... no one seems to have a clue. And you know a klipsch enthusiast doesn't want to wait a few extra days for his CWs to arrive. I say, screw that crate. Send it back to whoever made it (if they even want it) and be done with it. It's not worth the hassle.
  3. I sold my CWs on ebay a while back and wanted to use the vault. I posted a couple times but no one even knew where it was. I think the vault is a nice idea but not really viable. Anyone can place a pair of CW's on a pallet, surround them in blankets/cardboard and rachet tiedows (like I did) and take them to forward air with a lot less hassle of trying to get this elusive vault delivered to them. Burn the vault in your backyard and be done with it. It isn't necessary.
  4. I did get the manual. Thanks for the advice guys. I have a scott 340b I need to send to craig. Maybe I should send him this one too?
  5. Since I'm not a knowledgable tube guy maybe somone can tell me about these tubes. They look original and pretty much unused. Can you tell by looking at a tube whether it's been used a lot?
  6. Ok Boys ...who's gonna be the 1st one to identify this amp I just bought. I photoshopped the maker and model # out. Don't wanna make it too easy for ya.
  7. I use a panamax 1000 and have no complaints. They're realistically priced on ebay.
  8. I went out and found mine the old fashion way. I did get them for $1200 but that's because I got lucky locally. The seller saw my "wanted old stereo gear" ad and called me. He bought them new in '79 when he was single. He got married a few years later and they sat quiet in the diningroom of his new home for nealy 20 years. His wife was using them as corner shelves. You can't try to buy klipsch cheap or sell klipsch high to klipsch fanatics. It just ain't gonna happen. You have to pay what their worth or get lucky locally like many have.
  9. Hey Cleve ...Klipsch farms out a huge portion of it's product manufacturing to China. You didn't know that? You might as well put a little walmart logo right underneath your klipsch one in your signature.
  10. You want one of us to sell you a pair of khorns for $1500??? That's almost as crazy as me asking $5000 for mine. Put down the pipe.

  12. haha naaaa they'll go to www.dalbec.com a great local speaker repair place.
  13. AA banned me ...Rod is all over my posts ...deleting them as I hit enter. Tshoe ... I think a lot of the 901's being sold used are older. The surrounds deteriorate after 10+ years. These series 4's are NIB but roughly 20 years old. I bet they'll be toast.
  14. I'll sell my 1979 walnuts! $5K (includes pampered delivery to your door).
  15. According to the telarc 1812 LP jacket the cannons were recorded on location. Definately not cheesy sound effects on this one!
  16. I like satriani too. Do you like steve vai also? The guitar playing is pretty similar IMO.
