  1. Do you know which of the three have discrete amplification?
  2. Im also considering the Pioneer vsx 1126k. Its more expensive than the others and Id rather not spend the extra. My main issue is my video and audio cut out with my current Sony strd710. Usually for 2-3 seconds.
  3. It was the yamaha rxv 671b. The Pioneers were vsx 1026k an Pioneer vsx 926k. Anyone have any input on which avr will output the watts it claims. If anyone had any knowledge on the video cards or processors would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I think any of there will provide enough power. Im more concerned with my video problem and which avr will not leave me in the dark.
  5. Thanks for the reply. The Pioneer avrs Im considering are, vsx 1026K- 90/120watts x7, vsx 926k-90/120watts x7. The Haha is rxv 617b-875wattsx7. Im also considering the Pioneer vsx 1126-110/150watts x7.
  6. Im upgrading from a Sony STR-DH710. I will be buying my new avr from future shop canada. My choice is down to a couple of Pioneers and a couple of Yamahas. Any info or opinions would be appreciated. My main use is music, but my main problem with my current avr, other than lack of power is, a crappy video card. Certain games, listening to music via PS3, and movies will cut out for a few seconds (3 seconds of a black screen during an online boxing match isnt fun). I didnt have this problem with my non hdmi yamaha avr (hdmi from the ps3 to tv, digital optical from ps3 to avr. I played the exact same games and music files and didnt have this issue. Anyone with some knowledge in this area would be helpful. Also I would like to know how a 7.1 avr would act with my 82s and 62s in 5ch music versus biamping them. Im not really concerned about using my center speaker in 5ch I would probally turrn it right down to protect it, it would be useless at the level I turn the towers up and Im not interested in upgrading, for years if at all. Im more interested in how the amp would act towards all four towers.
  7. I have an energy esw c8 Id be willing to sell.
  8. I have rf82s bi ampd to a 110watt per channel Sony STR dh710 and an sw110. How can I get the best sound for rap.
  9. Im pleased with my system for games, movies and music. I just got the 82s a few days ago and blasted them today. My main music interest is rap. I find when I have the sub hrz all the way up and fronts set to large with the bass max, this sounds best. I turn my speakers up as loud as possible before I have to turn the bass down on the eq(the eq in my avr settings, not an external). THATS MY MO I thought the 62s would be enough but they werent, thats why I upgraded to 82s. I have not yet pushed my 82s to that point yet.
  10. Im pleased with my sub, klipsch sw110. Ill grumbly play around with setting the 82s to small. I have always set the sub to the highest possible yes on the low pass knob. Can anyone explain the hrz thing to me with the sub and the amp. I understand it in theory but not how to do the math for my setup if that makes sense lol.
  11. I bought rf62s, rf42s, rc52, and sw110th just before Christmas. I bought the 62s first to replace using 2 sets of fronts ( junk kenwierds lol) and an energy sub. I loved them n picked up everything else, except 82s, just picked them up 3days ago. The reason I bought both fronts was to blast them set to large n get the bass along with the sub.
  12. First off thanks for the help n welcomes, great forums n ppl here. I have a Klipsch sw110, I run it with the 82s for music and with my 5.2 system. (rs42s and rc52). I spent the money for the 82s so I could get the bass.
  13. I am only using a Sony STR-DH710 as a power source and avr. I have rf82s bi-ampd to the front and front high bi-amp channel. I also have an sw110 and an rc52 center and rs42 surrounds. All running off the Sony, giving me 5.1, with the 82s bi-ampd. I also have rf62s not being used, I loved them but didnt have the bass I wanted. My question is basically how can I get the most out what I have, specifically music wise, without damaging my front speakers. I do at some point plan to add my 62s to the mix. I also wont be getting a 9.1/9.2 or 11.1/11.2 for a year or two. I would like to upgrade to a better 7.1 though and think thats probably my best option.
  14. Im currently using a Sony strd710 avr. 105watts ch. and biampd. I had rf62s, but felt they didnt have enough bass for me. I dont like the idea of setting my fronts to small
