  1. When I did my KLFs I used it just as you would a pair of black dress shoes, wipe on straight out of the can and polish to a nice shine, doesnt get any easier and less chemicals on your cabinets.
  2. 85 lbs is a heavy amp. so you can imagine moving my 300 watt earthquake cinenova grande 5 it weighs in at 129lbs. It is definetly the grandfather of amplifiers. But back to the original question, If you can afford to add external amplification it is highly recommended and I can say from owning a couple Parasound amplifiers, If money is an issue, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Parasound. IMHO Parasound is for the money one of the best sounding amplifiers out and have an enormous amount of head room. As youthman said crystal clear no matter what the volume and klipsch speakers love parasound.
  3. High volume levels and great sound are two different things. one can be achieved without the other. Usually with a seperate amp comes better quality. I push my klipsch klf 30s with a 300 watt per channel cinenova grande 5 and there is nothing like it. Just for shits and giggles i ran them straight from my pioneer elite vsx92txh not a slouch at 130 watts per channel and there is no comparison in quality or volume. IMHO.....
  4. I may be selling an svs pb12 ultra II in near mint condition, I cannot find any for sale on ebay or anywhere else for that matter, so can all u svs guys help me with a used price for this sub? As you all know I am an earthquake supernova owner so probably wont be keeping this sub. Thank you
  5. Before I begin just want you all to know I am a klipsch man thru and thru and my theater is all klipsch. In my music room I run an old school onkyo pre amp tuner and a harman kardon citation 22 pushing a mint pair of pioneer hpm 100s that I play my drums too. So I have been wanting to put a system in our bedroom,{thinking klipsch of course} but i just picked up a pair of almost perfect kef c80s from about 1985 or so for 20 bucks from a guy who had no idea what he was selling,{gotta love craigslist}. I cant believe how these things sound. I bought them to resell for a profit and that would help me to purchase the klipsch I want for the bedroom. The real problem here is my wife who thinks an a,m radio sounds just fine, loves these things, says they look awesome. So my delema is do I sell the KEFs or my pioneer hpm 100s. Its no longer which ones I perfer cause I also perfer them both just not more than klipsch. So can anyone give me their thoughts and or ideas. Thanks
  6. Wow I asked if anyone has changed to the titanium tweeter diaphragms from Bob Crise and what they thought of them. and nobody answered. That makes me nervous now, hope I made the right choice. They should be here tommorow bought them for my klf 30s. Hope they make a difference.
  7. This morning I ordered my new titanium tweeter diaphragms for my klf 30s from Bob Crise. Can anyone tell me what I can expect with these compared to the stock diaphragms? Thanks
  8. Thank you, hard to believe it was that easy. I had an hdmi cable that was pulled a little taught. Problem solved.
  9. I agree. by the way throw some real power to those klf 30s and 20s and you wont even think they are the same speakers. I love my 30s and run 300 watts to each. AMAZING
  10. Thank you I will do my research. My elite works awesome just always looking for better at not to high a cost. Like all of us I guess. By the way I live in Chico Ca. You know where that playboy magazine college is. If anyone lives close by and wants to hear an Earthquake cinenova grande 5 amp and the supernova 15 sub Id be more than happy to demo for ya.
  11. Ok I am a planted mole? lol. Seriously I do understand that Earthquakes equipt. is very high end and expensive new. And as I ve said before once people hear it and own it they dont want to give it up so used is hard to find. If any of you get a chance to hear their amps or subs definitly check it out. Ok enough from u guys about earthquake. lol. Like I said I use a pioneer elite vsx92txh for a pre can someone tell me if I would gain by going to a emotiva Im not too familiar with there stuff, It seems very inexpensive.
  12. I figured thats what everyone thought. I am not new to audiophilism just to this forum. I know there are some great products out there but I am no youngster by any means and I have owned, heard and critiqued many systems. I owned a large nite club for many years and live music and its reproduction have been my passion since I was a child. I am open to every product that sounds good infact I now run a pioneer elite vsx92txh as a pre and with all the talk on hear about Emotiva I will be looking into there products. But if Earthquake made a pre you can bet I would definetely check it out. I just dont want to see anyone overlook a great company and an outstanding product do to lack of bandwagon popularity and knowledge. And no I am not a planted mole thank you.
  13. Great read friend, I have just ordered the titanium tweeter diaphragms for my klf 30s this morning from Bob Crise. If I notice a difference I will then order the crossover rebuild kit.
  14. I know you are all probably tired of hearing me talk about Earthquake sound corp. amps and subs. since It seems I am the only person on here that owns them. So I would like to offer my home to any unwanted earthquake amps or subs that anyone may have laying around. I love made in the good ol USA products and would give them a good home. Seriously are there any other owners of this magnificent product that when matched with klipsch products produces an unbelievable purity. anyone?
  15. Ok I have an lg blu ray player and a digital hd direct tv box hooked up to a pioneer elite vsx92txh then to an lg 50" plasma. Have never had any real problems with the handshake before just an ocassional hick up here and there. The other day I changed the living room around and moved everything, I hooked everything back up Identical to before and now when I am watching direct tv and change the channel I loose picture every time and have to run thru all the inputs back around to tv again to regain picture. but it only happens with direct tv. Very annoying. Any constructive input please. Thank you
