  1. Wow. Awesome. You make those?
  2. Thanks for the info! I have this vision in my head of putting a monster horn on top of these things!! Lol. I just lack the direction and or guidance in doing so. I see JBL has some great large horns, then Im left with what crossover, what horn driver, tweeter, no tweeter, etc.
  3. In your opinion would it be easier to do the 3way as opposed to find the right horn for 2 way?
  4. I came across a pair of La Scala style Bass BIns. They look real nice, have 15" drivers in them, but thats it. No horns, no xovers. Im just looking for some direction/advice if I were to buy these. I went on parts express and they have quite a few options. I prefer the 2 way sound, like my rf-7's, over the 3 way sound. How would I select a horn that I wouldnt need to add a tweeter and how do I pick a xover? Is it as easy as just picking a quality crossover, horn, and horn driver or should there be more science involved!? Also, I know the La Scala lacks in bass as Ive owned a pair, would it be acceptable to connect an amp plate to the sub to get more out of it? Its a Crites woofer in it.
  5. They are yours so who cares. GO FOR IT.
  6. Lol. Well, mono to me means, not in stereo. So by hooking up to a mono amp would I be short changing the center speaker? Also, is bridged "mono" or is it "stereo" just out of one source? My thinking may be all wrong too.
  7. I want an amp to run a center speaker......would a mono amp be best for that or should I use a 2 chan amp bridged? Or is that the same thing? Thanks in advanced for the info......
  8. Ya'll have been awesome!! Thanks for the help. I have a couple I'm gonna go after. Thanks again!!
  9. You look at a body of work, like, say Cash was able to put out with all the years he had. Had he died early none of the American Recordings with Rick Rubin would have taken place and that's arguably his greatest work, right at the end of his life. That gives us some type of clue as to what amount of work we missed out on from the ones that left early, everyone on this list could have had just killer later in life recordings as well as very good albums along the way. Imagine going next week to hear Buddy Holly play a sold out show in Memphis! Part of the mystique of most of the names on the list though is their seemingly untimely demise.
  10. Has Anyone mentioned Janis? Drug abuse, while generally self inflicted, is still tragic.
  11. Yea man. That ones tragic. Especially if the circumstances around his death were the way they are said to have been.....unintentional OD.
  12. I looked through and I have not seen anyone mention Duane Allman, sorry if they did and I missed it. He was a true talent and masterful guitarist. Motorcycle accident would most certainly qualify for tragic. **correction, I did find Duanes name earlier in the list** http://www.groundguitar.com/duane-allman-guitars-and-gear/
  13. My wife got me on Instagram a while back and I have to say I quite enjoy it. I'm pretty basic on there by social network standards but its fun. I'm rwp116 if anyone wants to follow me, I'll give a follow back. No obligation. If your on there and care to post your username. Good stuff on Instagram.
  14. The amp is in good shape and it has plenty powerful. Its pretty hefty as well, 33lbs. Everything on the amp is functional and sounds great. The big red meters are pretty cool. Thank you. 15. Yes it is dead quiet with no source. David Hafler was a great audio engineer. His read on wikipedia is good. I'm really surprised at the amount of people who have never heard of him or his amps. Its hard to find a bad word said about his products. His amps sound great and they could survive a tornado. I'm almost talking myself out of this. Lol.
  16. This one works flawlessly. My wife's dad borrowed it once for a few weeks and when he gave it back he said he was convinced if he had 2 he could drive the front of his truck up on them to change the oil because they were built so stout! Lol.
  17. Up for sale is a DH-200 Solid State amp in good condition. The amp is quality both in sound and build. Its 100wpc of warm, classic sound with very nice low end. Asking $150 shipped. Sorry the picture is lousy....I will try and do better in daylight.
