  1. I'm not huge into the electronic/dance music scene but I just gave this CD a shot. Anyone else listened to this yet? It might be my new favorite CD to put my system through the paces. It's beautifully mastered, catchy, and just fun to listen too and apparently a tribute to the 70's and 80's for bonus points.
  2. I never have but I know everyone who has has only had good things to say. A 2 channel heritage setup is definitely in my future. I'd love to get a pair of khorns somewhere and some tube amps, but that probably won't happen for a while. And that's coming from a guy who has had multiple pb13 ultras. They must sound damn good!
  3. Very nice! How would you compare those cornwalls to your RF-63s? The heritage stuff is very intriguing and would love to get a pair some day.
  4. I... uhh... here is an interesting online shop for audio gear! Coconut Audioshop Power Cables Does anyone know what a GroundHangar is?
  5. Going along with what reference said, if you really want the center to play, there are usually options in the receiver where you can force stereo to play in 5.1 and it will extend the audio to all the speakers. It's usually just recommended though to just leave it. Having your left and right audio extended to the center can do more harm than good because it will degrade the imaging and likely won't sound as natural.

    WTB RC-64

I had an RC-62 with my RF-83's for a few months while I was on the lookout. Just wanted to say good luck and it will be worth the wait!
  7. Very nice! I just got me a pair of RB-61's from CL and haven't been able to hook them up because all I have is an XPA-5. I'll be looking forward to hearing your reviews!
  8. I'm still waiting for it. I'm pretty happy with the UMC-1 still, but I figure if I use my upgrade card on the XMC-1, I won't lose any money by reselling if I'm not happy with it.
  9. Anyone have an estimate on shipping for this? It would go fantastic with my shrubbery.

    Xpa-2 475$

By the time I made up my mind and decided I wanted it, it was gone. Thanks for the heads up! It was a fantastic deal!
  11. I am going by memory here and I am hoping he can help me out, but when i bought my rt-12d from themrclean, he said he got it from a Klipsch employee and said Klipsch employee also had an rt-15d prototype. I think they should release that.
  12. If anyone is interested, I can go check them out.
  13. I got a ton of music on my tablet but no really good way to listen to it on the HT setup. I am wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for bluetooth adapters that will work with the UMC-1 (because it can be somewhat finnicky with certain sources). Emotiva has one for the UMC-200 that would have been perfect had it worked for the UMC-1 as well. I would also prefer for it to have digital out (not sure if they even come with analog outs)
  14. Does your place wired for 20 amp circuitry? This forum really needs more XPR owners. I want to hear more reviews. I think an XPR-5 and XPR-2 would look very nice with those THX speakers and should be able to power them with headroom to spare!
  15. Is there any possibility it's defective? There has to be some kind of extra processing going on here that's messing with things. Try changing the video settings on your UMC-1 to passthrough and see if that makes anything better.
  16. Wow, I had no idea they offered that service. Incredible! What I really came here to say though is themrclean is a fantastic seller, the sound quality on these units are amazing, and as a person who has been extremely happy with his UMC-1, the price is fantastic!
  17. That's some damn good customer service. Most companies would try to upsell you and tell you how much you need to have the best. All things being equal, I'd usually buy Emotiva just because their customer service is actually pleasant to deal with.
  18. When you get the UMC-200, let us know if there are any discernible differences from the UMC-1. I've been still holding out for XMC-1 and I've been able to hold out for so long because I really like the UMC-1, but it's finally getting to the point where I just need to move on.
  19. Isn't that Denon a 9.2 model? In any case, I am sure it could handle powering the rest of your speakers as long as you got the important 5 powered by the amp.
  20. Haha, I put her in the corner somewhat out of view and it kind of slipped my mind she didn't have any grilles. I bet these things are going to be pretty hard to come by though it seems like I seen a post about someone wanting to use the driver in a sub for their car a while ago. She still makes me just as happy the day I bought her whenever I hear her sweet sweet music.
  21. It's probably a long shot, but I am looking for a set of grilles for an RT-12d. Please PM me with a price if you got one.
  22. For anyone concerned about the dent, I recently replaced an RC-64 woofer. Bought the part direct from Klipsch for 70$ shipped and it took maybe 5 minutes to replace it when it arrived. Of course, the RF-64 II woofer may be more or less expensive, but I can't imagine it being much different.
  23. I'm not sure that the effects a higher quality amp would have on sound is really worth it. Along the chain of devices, I am thinking the amp has the smallest to do with actual sound quality so I don't see a lot of point in buying from a higher end company. If I were to spend that kind of money, I think I'd be happier just going with a pair of Klipschorns or even some Jubilees. Also, amps tend to hold their value extremely well putting most brands out of my price range forever. If I had the money to spend and I already had a full setup of jubs, then a high end amp would definitely be on my list, but until then, I am extremely happy with Emotiva. And as mentioned before, their customer service has gone way beyond their call of duty whenever I had the pleasure of talking to them.
  24. I don't know about movies I know I don't like but I have been a lot more adventurous on movies I've never heard of before. It usually ends up going poorly and I found some terrible movies to suggest to my friends.
  25. I believe the XPR-5 would be overkill for those rf-7 ii's (and you also have to make sure you are wired for 20 amps or you won't even be able to plug it in). I'd look at the Parasound or the XPA-5. It's nice to have some headroom on your amp, but your speakers are just so sensitive, I'm not sure if you will ever notice a difference.
