  1. I tend to prefer consoles just for the simple fact that you don't have to upgrade them.
  2. P.S. Good to see some of you folks still on here :-) The new site is pretty nice.
  3. I'm not crafty at all. Milk crates wouldn't be a bad idea actually with some fabric over them. Unfortunately things are getting a bit worse, but the lease is almost up on this apartment so I can finally get out of here and get a place to let my speakers roam at least.
  4. This is what I used for the RB-81IIs: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UV03MW/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1. You have the option to screw them in to anchor them more, but it's not necessary. This is what I used for my RS-62IIs: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009W5X2/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It uses the 4 holes on the back of the 62, not sure about a 2 hole option. Looks like they aren't available on amazon any more, but maybe you can find them, or something similar with a search?
  5. Hey everyone, I haven't been on the site in some time. My poor speakers are boxed away in a closet at the moment because of a life situation I had to move into a tiny apartment and didn't really have room to set them up. I'm now looking for a place to buy so I can hopefully break them free from their prison soon. Probably going to be looking for some stands for the RB-81IIs and RS-62IIs. I have wall mounts, but depending on the place I end up getting, this might not be the best option, so I'm looking for suggestions to see if anybody has discovered any good stand options for these speakers in the last couple years. Thanks for the help~
  6. I'd give Klipsch a call and see if you are lucky enough for it to be under warranty...
  7. Dang, wish I had some extra cash. I'd love those 42s...
  8. My sentiments exactly. My RC-62II sounds fantastic. I'm never wanting more.

    Oppo

    ^^^Ha, ain't that the truth.
  10. Watched Broken Lizard's Slammin Salmon last night. It wasn't bad. Not as good as Super Troopers, but still worth a watch.
  11. Hrmm, I'm completely satisfied with mine for music.
  12. Dang, I think I paid more for my RF-82II system =^o I wish I could have gotten a deal like that. And no, the SW-115 will not be a weak link.

    Oppo

Tough choice. I would want the newest thing too, although I'm sure the 105 would be a cinch to sell if you did end up wanting the new thing. I think Oppos renew every 2 years tho.
  14. ^^^You should at least rip at 320. My 4311 has airplay, I freakin love it! Glad you are enjoying yours as well =^)
  15. It could work. Might not get the absolute *best* sound, but I'm sure it'd be fine. You might want to keep shopping for something that would fit your application better tho...
  16. Ha, yeah I recently ran across that too. Insane! I'm definitely not looking for anything like that at all. I want Klipsch in my car!
  17. It seems that nobody in the competition scene that wants to be taken seriously use JLs any more. Kinda crazy. There are a bunch of littler companies that seem to be the top dogs at competitions these days.
  18. I've heard the Dynaudio that VW uses is pretty good too. My 2013 didn't have it as an option tho. I'm sure it's nothing like what would be put in a Bugatti tho =^P
  19. Vital, I have been eyeballing those definitely, just not quite sure if I want to spend quite that much since I'm also looking for an amp and sub...We'll see tho. The ones I will probably end up getting are some JBL-MS62Cs that are getting great reviews and can be had for low to mid $200s. Youthman, JL audio is still a good choice. I'm considering the 10TW3 because it's shallow mount and seems to be getting good reviews as well. The box for it is quite small, which is what I'm looking for. From what I've read, JL is on the expensive side for what you get and that there are some cheaper options that are just as good if not better.
  20. I've looked at Focals, and have also heard good things. Might be a touch over my price range tho. I do see that they have lower lines, but I also keep reading about the tweeters being harsh. I might have to see if I can find a dealer to take a listen. I do appreciate the input =^)
  21. The sad part is that it's stuck in a closet. And psg I'm sorry for your loss. Of course things could always be worse, but this being a home theater forum, I felt my post appropriate.
  22. It's more of a room issue than a noise issue. The way the room is set up, I really don't have a good place to put surrounds. Only place would be on end tables on both sides of the couch, but I'm going to have a 2 year old running around, don't really want her messing with them. Also, no place to put the center channel unless I bought a TV riser, which is a possibility, but really, since I do have something as a surround setup I'm not that worried about it for now. I bet in a few months I'll get bored and change it out tho =^P If not, it's going to be brand new all over again in a year =^)
  23. ^^^Your system has changed quite a bit since I was last around here =^o
  24. Well, for home theater, bigger is better. The 115 is going to go deeper and have more output than the 310. The biggest plus about the 310 is I believe it includes it's own room correction software, but not really needed if you have a decent AVR. I really like my 115, it blends really nicely with the rest of my system.
