  1. Hi all, Thought I'd post a picture of my home cinema as it looks currently- http://s885.photobucket.com/user/BigHairyBloke/media/IMG_0323.jpg.html http://s885.photobucket.com/user/BigHairyBloke/media/IMG_0320.jpg.html As you can see, i have 2 sets of RF 7IIs, one set lent to me by a pal of mine along with his 120w valve amp and new Cambridge Audio BD player, as he hasnt got his own place set up yet[H] and the other set are mine allong with the maching centre, sides and rears. I am using this rare chance to do a/b comparisons bettween the valve amp vs the Onkyo 5009, audyssey vs no processing etc. I must admit that i am currently enjoying myself in there listening to music much more than watching movies[] Steve
  2. Thanks reference_head, I'm not hung up on aesthetics but even so it looks great to me! (swmbo said it's my room and i can do as i please! If it were up to her it'd be white with a wooden floor and hidden speakers!) Steve
  3. I am finding i listen to music at -20 (+or- 5db or so) but with movies at -10 every time. I had expected such a powerful amp (Onkyo 5009) to be listening at lower levels but it just don't seem to work that way. Lovin my RF7IIs! Steve
  4. Hi all, My speakers have arrived and i am in audio heaven! Never before have i felt so immersed in perfectly balanced sound..these speakers are fantastic! Really difficult to photograph in my home cinema room as all the walls and the ceiling are covered in the blackest black velvet! Just fiddling around with settings in Audyssey on my Onkyo 5009 amp. These RF7IIs do go down low so integrating them into the eight X 18" driver Infinite Baffle subwoofer system is going to be interesting! Steve:)
  5. Thanks fo rthe advice guys. I have knocked up some cardboard RF-7 IIs...they are giants arnt they!;-0 I can pull mine about 12" from the side and rear walls, maybe a little more fomr the rear wall if i push my seats back a few inches. Can i ask you guys how far your ears are from your RF-7IIs? Also, how far from the wall you have yours sat? cheers steve
  6. Hi all, looking at buying a set of RF-7IIs for my home cinema, the cinema will be mainly blacked out but want to choose some rugs to compliment the colours in the drivers and the wood veneer(I'm not going for black as I want the speakers to stand out!) I have found a smashing site :www.Rugcenter.co.uk with some nice looking rugs, if any one has some time, can someone have a nose for me and suggest what rug colours would go well? I'm thinking gold, copper or maybe bronze? Cheers! Steve
  7. I am considering the RF 7 II but was considering less sensitive speakers before so have already purchased the Onkyo 5009, I know this is powerfully, but will it work well with the RF7s? Steve
