  1. I should have thought about this longer before I replied the first time. IIRC the Matrix / Stereo will only affect analog sound and any digital connection will pass through whatever raw data is available. The Matrix in analog would be psuedo stereo. As soon as I saw Sancho Panza's post . It jogged my memory .
  2. You definitely want it on stereo and I would go with no compression but that is a personal preference.
  3. That's not for the faint of heart. The guys make it look easy. IT IS NOT! It is cool. I am an industrial technician by trade and have not taken an automobile to a mechanic in 20 years. Having said that, I have never replaced a convertible top. On the other hand, building a subwoofer would probably be more of a challenge. I can program a PLC (industrial computer) wire up ANY industrial machine, weld.... mig, tig or stick, braze and solder. I know hydraulics, pneumatics, chains and sproclets etc.etc. However, I cant cut a 2X4 in a straight line with a skillsaw. My skill with wood is sooo poor, it is almost embarrassing, given I work with my hands and tools for a livng. I am good with a sawzall and jigsaw because we use it to cut "other" materials in the industrial world, but I need to get my wood skills up, or we need more steel subwoofer designs out there and a sharp decline in sheet metal prices. > ~ Bryant I feel your pain . I was a maintenance mechanic in my younger days and could do almost anything with metal . Decide to build a mailbox out of wood one day, and what a disaster ! It was truly embarrassing
  4. I agree, as a matter of fact I agree so strongly I have an MCM for a center and I have a Danley DTS-10 in my truck waiting for a friend to help me bring it in I firmly believe matching L,C,R is the best option when possible ! I also believe timbre matching is very important across the front 3 so althought I haven't heard the RC64II I still think (and again I could be wrong) the KLF-C7 is better for him and that a subwoofer and reciever or amp/PrePro are better places to spend his money. Definitely Not a War just a cival discussion with differing opinions Holy Crap you have some nice gear !
  5. I'm going to disagree , I haven't heard the RC-64II but I have heard the KLF-C7 which is a very good center and I'm pretty sure the best center for KLF-10's short of another KLF-10
  6. When John Belushi sang with Joe Cocker . Next is probably More Cowbell with Christopher Walken and Wil lFerrill
  7. He only takes cash from me and he even marks the big bills to make sure they are legit
  8. Even if I promise not to stalk your Amp ! I'm in
  9. Looks like that subwoofer is going to struggle a little to keep up

Welcome and enjoy, those are great speakers !
  11. I had a lot of problems with 19 locking up, almost to the point of dumping it . I am using 20 now and haven't had any lock ups in the last 10 days.
  12. I would like to attend again. Either spot works for me !
  13. I agree with Joe ! There are many features that come in handy as well. It can be used as a crossover, an equalizer, room correction , and so much more .
  14. I heard one of Justins Amps at the Chicago get together. It belonged to Jimjimbo and it was so good Jim had to sneak out so that I couldn't "borrow" it. I couldn't have cared less about tube amps until I heard that one !
  15. Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery !

Welcome John All that matters is for you enjoy what you have and enjoy your time here !
  17. My deepest condolences to your Family ! Boxx was a class act and will be missed dearly.
  18. Congrats and welcome to the family ! If you are happy with the rears stick with them for a while, they are probably the least important link in the HT chain.
  19. My opinion and my opinion only is the KL650's are better for movies and TV. The RF7's are better for music. You would have to weigh which is more important to you and also factor in placement options, looks , etc.etc I must add that neither the KL650's or RF7's are bad at the other but each has its strong points
  20. The THX do a lot of things very well and certainly are worth a listen ! For the real estate they take up , the flexibility they offer, and for WAF they are hard to beat ! I'm sure the 904's are great ! ( I have not heard them ) but they are not a practical solution for many . I'm guessing they will smoke a KL650 but then again I'm guessing there are some other Klipsch speakers that will smoke a 904. The best speaker won't always be the biggest but with Klipsch it usually is. That being said the bigger speaker isn't always the best choice . Too many factors involved . My best system is a Pro System but that same system is not the best choice for other rooms.
  21. Happy BDay Derrick ! I hope you have a great day
