I would definitely do like Rivernuggets said and check the polarity. If not I think Mustang Guy is correct about the calibration. My 5.5's may have lost some of their sparkle due to aging crossovers but they are still an in your face speaker. Flat would be the last word I would use to describe them.

I agree extremely knowledgeable, always willing to pass on his knowledge and provide guidance !

No Have you tried a different USB cable? And then maybe a different USB port ?

My Focusrite is a Pro Audio DAC which comes with mixing software that had to be set up first which was confusing at the start or the more likely culprit could be making sure you have chosen the correct audio playback device on your PC

Yeah, the Pro stuff is the only thing that outplays the Heritage line, since this is where all the Horn improvements have been made. But you gotta have a big room or a very understanding lady in your life (or just visitors rather than residents). I get tired of the women much quicker than the speakers and the speakers are a better deal

I'm trying to talk myself out of buying it just so I can hear the new setup ! I'm dying to hear those new bass horn's . I'd like to see how they stack up against the MWM's, If they are even close then talk about an ideal setup. The MWM's bring a smile to my face every time but they sure take up a lot of real estate and I'm running out of friends to help move them. If they sound as good as you say those bins with 402's and a couple DTS10's would be the ideal setup. So I guess you may have the Ideal setup !

If you buy the sub don't let Claude audition his other stuff for you ! You will leave with a long wish list ! Dam you Claude

Must say if this was available when I was looking I would have gone with it ! Matter of fact if it wasn't such a pain to take the other amps out I would give this a try . I'm pretty sure you couldn't lose.

Congrats. A pair of LaScalas , A good sub , A good dog and a room to put him in when flexing the system. Doesn't get much better than that ! None of the 3 will likely ever let you down or give you any grief

P39-f's and Jubilees I think the most interesting man in the world is going to have Boxx tattooed on him !! Congrats
-
I'll second that.

Congrats ! You,re going to love them !

Nice score ! Those were my first Klipsch bought them new in 1994 and I still love them ,although I let one of my daughters borrow them about a year ago and she has since informed me I am never getting them back. Mine (or hers) are still mint and I'll probably let her keep them because she and her friends really enjoy them and more importantly they respect them. Any how GREAT Deal on some great speakers !

I don't know how the BenQ stacks up but I have had an Epson 1080UB for just over 5 years and it has been great. I switched from a couple InFocus projectors and not only was it superior in performance and reliability but the one issue (self inflicted) that I had was dealt with under warranty with ease. The only input I can provide is the Epson customer service was great , the unit has been reliable and definitely factor in the cost of replacement bulbs when making your decision. Good Luck

Definitely a consideration as well as room and triggers for 4 Amps . I also agree that 400 watts is probably on the big end, but I would love to try that amp. FWIW I would probably do what I did and get 2 XPA-5'S. My reasoning was why get the XPA2 for home theater when I wouldn't run just the front L and R in stereo for music and even at that , I didn't think there would be a big differance if I did. Plus for an additional $100 I would have 3 extra channels which could be used down the road say for 9.? , passive subs? or heaven forbid - I lost a channel . I have had this setup for over 5 years and none of these have occurred but I still have my options and peace of mind.

Mine are stacked and it worked out great in my room.

Oh darn. now you've gone and done it ! You're telling me !

I am becoming addicted to the Koolaid

I think you should put lots of drivers in it and design a proprietary equalizer that it must have to run. That way you can up the price some more and call it a BS901 !
-
So how does that sub sound with your big stuff? Is there a big K-402 in your future? Dam you and the K-402's! those are definitely in my future ! Sub is in place but no amp yet. Should have one this weekend but it's killing me to wait. Your setup was amazing no matter how your listening skills are ! LOL

As far as listening skills go, I have no idea where I land but I'm too old to change where I'm at, nor do I care to ! I enjoy what I hear and that's good enough for me. I must admit that I do get a sense of pride when people tell me that's the best system they've ever heard but I also have a friend who put's his hands over his mouth and honks like a goose every time he see's me because he likes to tease me about my horns and that's ok too. I have 3 fairly different systems and I like them all! My MCM's are my favorite by far but so is primerib. I could eat it a lot but not every day, sometimes a hamburger sounds good (KG 5.5's) .I know they aren't as good but sometimes they just hit the spot. But if I had to pick one I'd go big!

Until yesterday I had only read about horn subs. I was lucky enough to stop by a forum members house . He had a Lab12, aTHT ,and 2 Danley DTS10's. All I can say is wow ! As a bonus he had some 402's I got to listen too as well. If you ever get a chance to listen to 402's Don't ! I'm pretty sure you will want some!
-
Welcome to the forum ! I think very well done and you should enjoy those for some time. I don't have any more room for speakers but if I found KLF20's for $400 locally, I would buy them in a heartbeat !
-
Just my opinion but I think you will want a separate amp or amps. I have the same setup except I opted for KL-650 rears instead of the KL-525's. I ran them off a Denon 3805 for a while and it sounded good but I did switch to separates and it became much better. I am running my speakers with 2 Emotiva XPA-5's and I love them, but several here have complained about noise with them , FWIW mine have been silent ! and extremely reliable! As far as the subs go , your room is bigger so I'm not sure? I have plenty with 2 in my room but I would love to have 4. That being said I would start with 2 and decide for yourself if you need 4. This is a great system for watching movies ! Good Luck and Enjoy !
