  1. I have both . The KG5.5 is a great rock and roll speaker ! it hits harder than a  LaScala but not as tight . Different animals and I love them both.

KG5.5's  in my opinion are underrated and worth more than the market will bear. I would think $450 is top dollar in this market.

I would audition them and see what you think. A Horn loaded sub with LaSCala's is tough to beat. So I don;t think there is a wrong decision here .

  2. Several years ago I bought a Lab 12  Sub from @ClaudeJ1  when he was in Indy. Listened to the Lab 12 for about 5 minutes.

Listened to to his 402's and DTS10's for much longer it probably took the whole ride from Indy to Chicago for my dropped Jaw to close.I swore that day I would eventually have 402's and DTS10's .I did acquire a DTS10(years later) which runs with the Lab12 and my L,C,R MCM's . When I bought my MCM's I got 3 full 4way stacks plus 2 additional MWM cabinets (1 with drivers and 1 empty) . My ultimate goal is to have a 2.1 channel system MWM bottoms with 402's on top and maybe an 1802 sub. The 402's are like a religious experience for sure. To the OP @Coytee I still remember when I joined the forum to ask questions about MCM's he was the first of many to reply and very helpful. Thanks again !

To get back on topic you have to experience 402's to understand the magic ! The best I can do to compare them is - I love LaScala's with a sub ,I think inch for inch they are hard to beat ..BUT.... The MCM's make them sound like a clock radio !  I heard the 402's and  was like I have to have some. (To be fair the MCM's are still just plugged in not dialed in ,and  I'm sure Claudes were dialed in )

There are 3 things on my bucket list I want to hear  -The Klipsch 1802/1502 subs , Claudes quaterpies , and @Chris A 402 MEH

I thought now would be a good time to Thank You for the information you regularly provide.

I never comment because it's better to let them think I'm stupid than to open my mouth and prove it.

Truly Do want to say thanks  because even when a subject goes over my current understanding you try to make it easier for people like myself to understand. Even when I don't completely grasp the info provided , I am thinking and thus growing. There a several others here that also do this and really what a great benefit to us all !

Cedar Point lost me when it took out Mean Streak.  I understand the maintenance disparity between vintage wooden coasters and modern steel coasters, but I prefer vintage.

Mean Streak was just that ....MEAN ! I love Cedar Point and almost all the rides but I hated Mean Streak , it gave me a serious headache every time.

Umm, yeah.  Guitar, lead, what else could you ask for?  What group is she lead for?  Uh, want to check out her lyrics...

She actually is just OK as guitarist and isn't the lead but will do some solo's ,she plays a Hammond B3 Organ and is excellent, but her voice is something else. I think this picture is from A VH1 Divas Concert years ago ! She did the song Paris on the guitar, then she had Ann and Nancy Wilson come on the stage and do Crazy On You. Speaking of Which Ann can sing and Grace goes toe to toe with her! I need to find that Video !  Forgot to add The Band Grace Potter ! It was Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

I dig Lizzy Hale of Halestorm.  I'm just slightly more partial to Dorothy Martin of Dorothy.  Probably because I saw them live at a lounge in Missoula.  Small venue, was about 20' from the stage, seriously loud, four dual 18 bins that hit you in your chest.  Oh, and she's hot.  Good stuff.

  7. It will be nice to watch your progress and impressions. There isn't a lot of Atmos talk here which is why I am on the Dolby Atmos Home Users Worlwide Facebook group as well. I haven't jumped in yet as I am just in the exploration stage .As I mentioned to you on that page , there are several Klipsch Users in that group although mostly the RP Line , surprisingly several THX Ultra II users, but very few Heritage or Pro users.

Looking forward to your impressions .
