  1. Damn, I thought I was long at 78" but Tripod has me beat by an inch, well at least head to foot lol.
  2. I thought the Darkness was a joke the first time I saw the video. I think I will pass on them...sounded awful to me...not even close to the classic bands....
  3. I am the proud owner of a PB2+ (for a couple of weeks) and am amazed. It is a great!!! sub. I would not hesitate to order another sub from SVS someday. Mark
  4. Why is all of my gear double-spaced? It does not show it on my personal info page.....
  5. FYI, I have been running a Carver TFM45 (375wpc) on my Chorus IIs for the last 13 years and have never had a single issue. It has seemed to work nice with them. Mark
  6. I have been in Radiology and Imaging for my entire career. I used to work on trauma patients a lot and Norcuron is a drug administered to trauma patients on a regular basis. It paralyzes the patient to the extent that they cannot even breathe on their own. They are not able to move a single muscle in their body. The scary thing is that they are totally alert, so they can see but not move or breathe on their own. Anyways, I always have thought this was a neat drug. We would then have to put the patient on a ventilator and give them other medications to help with pain etc. Mark
  7. Thanks for the input. I had all of the lights on in the room, probably should have had a few less on for better pics. Mark
  8. The TV is centered in the entertainment center. The problem is that we owned the entertainmanet center in our previous home. Unfortunately, there is not enough room on that wall to make everything fit and still be able to use the bookcase. The house was new when we bought it a year ago and as most know there is a lot to do with new houses. Window coverings are next.
  9. Sorry for kinda bad pics. Wanted to keep download time down for the viewers. It looks better in person lol....Anyone headin through Eugene is welcome for a demo anytime. Mark
  10. For some reason this pic did not attach to first post. Mark
  11. Pic 3 Wife wants window coverings....I told her after the SVS lol....
  12. Hi All, I wanted to post a couple of pics of my set-up. My weakest link is the 35" Mitsubishi that is 12 years old. I have this huge sound, but small screen. I like the new SVS more and more each day. We have been talking a lot about the Chorus IIs and SVS lately, so wanted you guys to see what I have been working with. Mark
  13. You will be fine. I run a Carver TFM-45 amp (375wpc) to my Chorus IIs and it has worked great. Listen to your speakers when you play them and you will know when to stop turning them up. Mark
  14. The parts dept at Klipsch are great. I called today and inquired about Chorus II parts. They had everything I could want in stock including cross-overs etc. It is nice to know we can replace anything on these heritage speakers. The passives for my speakers were $58.98 and anything over $50.00 includes ground shipping.
  15. Whell, He had a demo set that I could have walked out with, OR he said if I didn't mind the wait, he would be glad to order me a brand new pair still in box for the same $1400. I was very tempted. My SVS PB2+ arrived tonight. What a great Sub. Adds a dimension to everything...
  16. WOW....What a great sub. It does everything I could want at this point. Fit and Finish is great. It is rather...Large lol. I played a ton of music and various music DVDs through..It will do whatever you ask it to. I also played Ice Age through it and it was incredible when the ice cracked at the beginning. I am looking forward to many hours listening to this sub. Nice Job SVS. Mark
  17. I spoke with parts today and he did in fact say there was a change in drivers on the RF-7 from the original debut. He said he was surprised hearing that from me because "He didn't think many people knew about that". He said they upgraded the voice coil etc, but then said "better or worse" is in the eye of the beholder.
  18. Thanks for the replies. He did offer to order me a brand new pair for 1400 out the door. I at this point have decided to keep my Chorus IIs. p.s. Shipping company said they may deliver my SVS PB2+ tomorrow Mark
  19. I was talking to a local dealer the other day and he said that the drivers used in the earler versions of the RF-7s were of better quality than the 2003 and 2004 models. He said that basically Klipsch lowered the quality a little and kept price points the same. Any Thoughts? Mark
  20. I think the Chorus IIs sound great for Heavy Metal. Mark
  21. I would like to again thank everybody for their input on this thread. I took the RF-7s back to Good Guys today. I thought they were very nice speakers and played tons of stuff through them. It came down at the end that I was not willing to give up my Chorus IIs for them and will probably look at other components in my system to consider upgrading at least for now. I have never heard the lascalas or corner horns in a correct set-up so if anybody in Oregon has a good set-up let me know. I would love to hear them...I also travel to eastern WA so that would be a good spot for a demo. Mark
