  1. I have a pair of Heresy IV's in black, like new with boxes, manual, factory packing, etc. $2000 + shipping if interested?
  2. Great to hear you are on the other side of the knee operation and it went well, Craig. Be careful not to jog more than a few miles at a time during recovery 😉. Also great to hear you’re wanting to get back to the soldering iron soon. Lord knows you’ve done a lot of work for me on a variety of gear through the years…And all top notch, first class work. Cheers to some good days ahead!
  3. I would estimate between 300-500 hours. Sorry for the rough estimate, but I never put a meter on them when running the system.
  4. This was sold back in 2015, but I’d be interested in buying it back again. Lol! Great sounding little integrated. I’d like to hear it with a new set of those Western Electric 300B reissues.
  5. If any of these tubes interest anyone here, feel free to message me an offer.
  6. Tercel II, Mullard M8137 box plate and Telefunken ECC801S matched pair
  7. VRD tubes, Telefunken 12AX7 ribbed plate pair and RCA 12AU7 pair
  8. Howdy guys, Quite a while back, I sold my tube system consisting of NOS Valves VRD's, Juicy Music Super Merlin, and Juicy Music Tercel II phono preamp. I was holding these tubes for the buyer of the system, but he recently informed me he had changed his mind regarding upgrading the tubes. Therefore I am making these available for the rest of the forum. These tubes transformed the sound of this particular system. Details as follows: In the VRD's: Telefunken 12AX7 ribbed plate, matched pair RCA 12AU7 clear top, matched pair $185 shipped for these tubes In the Super Merlin: Raytheon 6X4 JAN Soviet 6H30 cryogenically treated $55 shipped for these SOLD In the Tercel II: Telefunken ECC801S matched pair (very sought after) $400 shipped for this pair Mullard M8137 box plate $175 shipped for this tube Please contact me for further details, pictures, etc. Listed below are a few quick pictures. All these tubes have low hours and were dead silent in my system.
  9. I just sold my upgraded Merlin (Super Merlin) and a pair of NOS Valves VRD amps to a fellow member here a while back. It was a great little preamp for me, but I had/have too much gear and needed to sell. Good luck with your search Mark. I loved that little Super Merlin preamp. Cute as a button and always sounded great when I fired it up.
  10. Everything is on hold (payment pending) for a buyer. Thankful the system will be staying together, as these units all sound so great together.
  11. I'll figure out a shipping quote and send you a message with the total...thanks.
  12. These are still available. They are extremely good for the money, for those who are not familiar with Juicy Music products. And both units come with excellent tubes.
  13. Yea I've swapped the tubes around in the amps and same noise was still there. Tubes was also my first guess. I talked to Craig about them and he's just going to go over the amps again in the fall or winter when he isn't as busy, as we were unable to pinpoint the issue. I wouldn't want to sell them at full price to anyone with a potential cold solder joint, etc. Probably/hopefully a simple fix. So I'll just box them up for now and put them in the closet.
  14. Update: I have decided to keep the VRD's for now. I haven't powered them on much since Craig did the full recap and checkup. However, upon running them in a bit after I posted this thread, one of the amps has developed some noise upon powering up... and as of this afternoon, I was hearing a little distortion when turned up. Therefore I am going to keep the VRD's until Craig has time to work on them again and figure out the issue. If someone here is comfortable working on tube amps and is still interested in the VRD's, I'd make them a great deal. Otherwise I'll just keep them and send them back to Craig in the fall/winter when his schedule permits. The Juicy Music Super Merlin preamp and Tercel II phono stage are still available.
  15. Craig recommended those and said he had plans to use these same capacitors in his own amps when he gets around to doing it. He also said they take a long time to break in, like 500 hours, which I have not done. I’ve put maybe 50 hours on them since the recap. Between a job change, family medical event, and a death in my immediate family…. I just haven’t had time for audio. That’s why I’ve chosen to sell this gear. But that’s the story with the caps.
  16. Klipschorns from the 80’s, Heresy III’s, and Cornwall III’s. All of which have all been sold unfortunately.
  17. Thanks fellas. Craig is doing good. He’s not building new gear due to the cost of materials, having to order in bulk, etc., but still doing repairs and upgrades.
  18. Finally, here is a pic of the inside of one of the VRD amps.
