  1. Yes, the finish is Ribbon Mahogany. I forgot to list that in the description. It is beautiful in person. If you are local here in north Florida, send me a PM to set up an audition
  2. Yes I realize the competition for Klipsch speakers, and thanks for pointing that out. I owned both Cornwall I's and II's before buying these. Once I heard them, it was no contest. They have all the detail and same type of presentation as the Cornwalls, but a lot smoother. Not sharp with digital like both pair of Cornwalls were in my system. Although the Chorus is also a fine sounding speaker, I prefer the Tylers. However, I can't compare them to the LaScalas. Never heard a pair in my room, with my gear. It would be a fun comparison for sure. I appreciate you listing the links as well. These are somewhat of a rare speaker and not everyone will be familiar. I am still somewhat on the fence about selling them. I plan to move them downstairs next week to try for home theater use for fun. I've read they also sound great for that type of stuff. I've always used them for 2-channel with tubes. Who knows, I may actually end up keeping these. The only reason I put them up for sale is due to my recent speaker purchase...Selah Audio Tempestas. They are an entirely different designed speaker and each have their own strengths. Why can't I just keep them all? (I keep asking my wife)
  3. Surprised this hasn't generated more interest. How about another price drop?...$650 shipped PayPal gift
  4. I have decided to sell my Tyler Acoustics PD15 speakers and change directions with my system. They are beautiful sounding/looking, and completely audiophile grade. Eminence drivers and wired internally with DH Labs cables. Ribbon Mahogany finish. They are very efficient at 98db and can easily be driven with low wattage amps; 8 ohm impedance. I used them with my Cary 300SEI tube amp, which is only 15 watts/channel. They are a joy to listen to and very smooth. The speakers are in excellent condition, along with the grills which attach magnetically. I can only find one small ding on the cabinets. They come with the original brass spikes. New they are $3000. I am willing to take $1200. Local pickup is preferred in the north Florida area. However, I am willing to ship if buyer pays all packing/shipping costs. These weigh around 125lbs each. Very well built cabinets.
  5. How about a price drop...$650 + shipping and Paypal fee
  6. This is SOLD I have decided to sell my LP-1 preamp. It is in excellent condition with no issue whatsoever. Beautiful looking/sounding preamp! It has three inputs and one output. Very little hours on this preamp, as I use a lot of different gear rotating in/out of my main system. It will come shipped with the tubes provided by Dennis (RCA 5Y3GT, GE 6CG7, and matched pair of E.H. 6922's. If anyone wants other pics, just send me your email address. I am looking to get $700 shipped for this. If choosing to use PayPal, please figure in the 3.5% fee. SOLD
  7. Selling my Grado RA-1 headphone amp in excellent condition. Beautiful wood housing (mahogany I think) and battery powered, which means super quiet playback experience. Very nice headphone amp for my asking price of $200. Buyer pays shipping and PayPal fee. SOLD
  8. I am offering for sale my PS Audio 4.6 preamp. This is a Class A preamp with separate power supply and MM/MC phono stage. The volume and balance controls are stepped potentiometers and feel very solid/professional. It functions perfectly with no scratchiness in controls or other issues. The phono stage can be switched between MM/MC internally with a switch and sounds very nice. Another option on this that I personally love is called "Straightwire", which basically makes this preamp a passive unit. I enjoyed this option running an amp directly without any coloration of a preamp whatsoever. This mode basically functions as a stepped volume control directly to your amp. My system has enough gain for this function, which is how I usually ran this preamp. I don't think this can be beat for my asking price of $300. It has a few minor scratches here and there but very nice overall. Buyer pays shipping and 3.5% fee if choosing to use PayPal. SOLD
  9. No love for a Scott 296 here guys? This is a very rare unit, only made from 1960-1962 I believe. It sounds wonderful. Just need to convert some of my audio gear to cash.
  10. Thanks for posting A1UC. This is very true and can probably help some fellow members.
  11. I have too many speakers and decided to pass these along... Sonus Faber Concertinos with the matching stands. The walnut and level of craftsmanship is simply gorgeous and has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The speakers, grill cloth, leather, and stands are all near mint condition. They are the 8 ohm bi-wire models. I have the original spikes for the stands. I am having trouble uploading more detailed pics, so I can send more over to anyone interested. $800 cash, local pickup in North Florida area, or buyer pays all shipping charges and PayPal fees.
  12. Last price drop....I'll cover the shipping. $2000 shipped (no tubes) $2600 shipped including tubes mentioned above
  13. Price drop...$2000 with no tubes included, or $2600 with the tube set mentioned above.
  14. Feel free to send offers if you don't like the price guys. I would rather someone here get this sweet amp, who can appreciate the restoration quality that is performed by Craig. I am happy to sell it without the tubes if it helps.
  15. I had someone asking me about a price without the tubes...I can do $2200 without the NOS tube set.
  16. Ok guys, I really hate to do this but need the cash. I have decided to sell my Scott 296 with original wooden case, in very nice condition. This thing is a beauty and sounds simply gorgeous. It was treated to Craig's "deluxe restoration" over at NOS Valves, costing $785.86 total. The receipt detailing the restoration work will be included. The warranty will follow this amp to its next home. Craig is very good about taking care of his work and customers. In my opinion, he's one of the best out there! Anyway, back to the amp...I am willing to include my personal selection of valuable tubes to the new owner. Tube choice as follows: Output tubes - RCA blackplate 6L6GC's Preamp tubes - 1963 Mazda chrome plate 12AX7's Phono stage tubes - Telefunken 12AX7's Output tube driver/phase inverter tubes - RCA blackplate 6U8's Rectifiers - Mullard GZ34/5AR4 (blackburn plant 60's) Dynaural noise suppression (not used) has a Siemens 6U8 and EH 12AX7 These model Scott integrateds very rarely come available for sale, and I've never seen one available for purchase that was restored by Craig. I am going to ask $2800 for this with the included tube set mentioned above. These tubes are quite valuable and work together in the circuit to sound really special. However, if you would like to purchase the unit at a lower cost, I am willing to swap some of the tubes for ones of less value. It's a sad day to have to sell this, but life has other priorities. Local buyers in the north Florida area are more than welcome to come over for an audition.

    What does this mean???
  18. Someone here needs this sweet SET amp don't they? The midrange is so sweet and seductive on this Cary. The headphone amp is the best I've ever experienced. It's a great match for Klipsch speakers.
  19. I will pack it very well and ship the tubes separately in a different box. Everything fully insured.
  20. The headphone section is absolutely incredible. I sold my Woo Audio WA-6 after hearing the headphone section in the Cary. Used it with a pair of Audeze LCD-2 and Sony Z-7 headphones with great results. I've been selling a lot of my gear to fund an upcoming move this year. We just put an offer in on a house a few days ago. The Audeze LCD-2's are already sold, and the Sony cans are next. I haven't tried Audiogon yet, but that is the next step. I am taking a beating at my price of $2600, so I don't plan to drop the price again. I have way too much audio gear and trying to consolidate.
