  1. I am not sure on the year of manufacture. I would have to contact McIntosh on that. I am guessing 2012.
  2. I have decided to sell my MC275 v.5 amp. I used this in a mono-block configuration for my dedicated two channel listening room. I am downsizing my system due to a new baby. Very lightly used and comes with all original tubes, boxes, manual, power cord, tube cage, etc. Amp is in excellent condition. 9/10. All the factory McIntosh tubes are basically brand new, as I have used NOS and Gold Lion tubes. Comes with all the original boxes, packing material, power cord, manual, tube cage, etc. SOLD
  3. I have decided to sell my Mcintosh MC352 amp. 350 Watts per Channel, or 700 Watts Mono; fully balanced design. I used to own a MC252, but actually preferred the sound of the MC352 in my system. This amp is in excellent condition. The front glass and rails are perfect. A few minor scratches on top of the amp but nothing noticeable from the front. See pictures for details. I have the original shipping container. Heavy duty, double boxed with a wooden pallet underneath. Tons of padding all around for safe shipping. This amp sounds incredible. If you haven't heard one of these, you will not be disappointed. Of course it will be packaged very carefully, and insured for full purchase price so if any damage happens during shipping it will be covered. Local pickup in Gainesville, FL would be welcome. PayPal add 3%. SOLD
  4. I am changing up my system and need to sell my Zu Audio Libtec speaker cables. These are 2.5m long and come with all original paperwork/packaging/box/etc. All ends have banana terminations. Cables are in excellent condition, like new. I will take $175 and cover shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 US. I will also cover the PayPal fees.
  5. Thanks guys. Just edited the title to indicate "sold". I will miss these wonderful Cornwalls, but they went to a great home. I will hopefully have another pair someday.
  6. Just wanted to mention these were indeed sold to a very nice gentleman. Thanks Jino! Enjoy Can anyone direct me how to edit the thread title to mark the speakers as sold?
  7. I have a buyer coming to buy both the Corwalls and Counterpoint amp later this month.
  8. Not really interested in shipping at this time. I would much prefer local pickup. If they don't sell in a couple months, I may be willing to consider shipping. These are just too big and nice to ship without trying to sell locally first. Thanks for your interest John Chi-town.
  9. I am located between Jacksonville and Gainesville in North Florida. Khorndog asked about the Counterpoint SA-100 amp. Good eye! It sounds great with the Cornwalls. It has the punch of solid state with the warmth of tubes. I actually was thinking of selling the Counterpoint as well, as I recently bought a Cary SLI-80. The Counterpoint SA-100 is near mint condition inside and out, super clean...has the original box, receipt, and paperwork from when it was purchased new. I'll take $600 for it, if anyone is interested.
  10. I am selling a beautiful pair of Klipsch Cornwall speakers with Cane grills, in excellent condition. Corners are perfect, hardly any noticeable flaws. The Cane grills are perfect. I have moved, and unfortunately now have a small listening room. The Cornwalls are just too big. Local pickup in north FL. $SOLD. Contact me at davidchurch7@bellsouth.net
  11. Pat...I have heard people talk about burn-in time for capacitors and didn't know whether there was much truth to it. Thanks for mentioning that; I'll be listening for a change in sound. I'll bet both those kg5.5's and the Chorus's will sound great with the upgrades too! I still have yet to hear back from the guys about my Pioneer SX-1500t. When it finally returns home, it will probably drive an old pair of EPI 201 speakers I have in storage. I used to drive these with a Marantz 2230, but I sold it a few months ago and gave the EPI's a rest. I actually ordered some Sonicaps from Bob Crites today for the EPI's crossovers. I've experienced such a difference with the Quartets that I wanted to recap my old EPI's as well. They were made in the early 70's, so its definitely time to change out the original caps haha! You wanted some pics of my McIntosh gear... you got it :-)
  12. Hey guys, just wanted to report back. I installed the new Sonicaps and titanium tweeters last night. The Sonicap capacitors were much larger than I had anticipated. It took some effort to get them all situated on the crossover board. Installing the titanium tweeters was as easy as loosening 3 nuts and dropping in place. Overall, it was not a bad job. It took just over an hour for me. Wow, what a difference!! I am ecstatic about the results. I honestly had no idea that these upgrades would do so much for the Quartets. My wife couldn't stand to listen to digital music on the Quartets prior. She sat in for a listen after I finished the upgrades and enjoyed them as much as I did. My wife seems to have a better ear than me, so I always appreciate her input. FYI, I am using a Dynaco ST-70 paired with a Sony 608ESD cd player....No preamp (using the variable outputs). So, I highly recommend Bob Crites upgrades for anyone on the fence. These speakers have taken on a much smoother, yet more detailed presentation than before. I moved my Spica Angelus out of the bedroom to listen to these!
  13. Thanks for the replies. I will see about getting the speakers off the risers and on some stands in the future. And I will continue to do research over on AudioKarma concerning the Crites upgrade installations. By the way, I am missing a Klipsch badge on one of the grills. Is ebay the best place to look for these?
  14. Hi, I am brand new on the forum, and this is my first post. I have a pair of Klipsch speakers (Quartets in Oak Oil finish). Due to all I have heard about the Bob Crites upgrades, I ordered his crossover rebuild kit and titanium tweeters. Do any of you guys have experience with installing these mods? Any help/pics/links would be greatly appreciated. I assume the crossover network is behind the speaker terminals on the Quartets?
