  1. Fantastic ! I didn't think anybody would... thanks
  2. Sold...To a friend of all things, at least I'll get to still see them !
  3. Yes, I have a 2 channel amp for my mains, and a 2 channel amp for my surrounds. I just need an amp for my LS center. I found the same amp I am currently using for my mains, so I am hoping I can buy it and use it for single LS center.
  4. I want to use a LS as a center channel to go with my LS mains. My receivers preamp output has only a single output for the center channel, do I have to use a mono amp ? If not, how do I connect the single speaker to a 2 channel amp? Thanks...
  5. I bought Zeppelin's digitally remastered cd's, and gave the original cd's to a friend. Big mistake! Original recordings were much better. I have found digitally remastered cd's to be harsh, tinny, and hard to listen to. Elton Johns 60 birthday dvd/cd is great. Some live tracks from the 70's and 80's rock.
  6. I took my K 55 V out of my LaScala's. The next day I went to work and picked up this police car siren. I unscrewed it from it's horn and noticed it is virtually identical !!! K-55 on the left...
  7. Male artist: Elton John Female Artist: Heart ( i know it's a band ) Band: Led Zeppelin-Black Sabbath-Rolling Stones-Alice in Chains- I could go on forever !
  8. Awesome job ! I went up the food chain, and stopped at La Scala's too. Wow, is appropriate... Cute wuffer, don't hurt his/her hearing !
  9. I would never trash a legend ! Much respect to the Beatles... All the British bands loved, and stole from the blues. I am more of a Stones, Zeppelin, Sabbath fan
  10. Fine points, we all love PWK and his genius. Most importantly, his sound and speakers. Modest improvements to the Heritage line ,would only add to his legacy IMHO... I think the Heritage line , should be treated like the flagship line of speakers. Not the forgotten ones...
  11. Why doesn't Klipsch upgrade the horns on their Heritage speakers ? A large portion of these forums are directly related to their perceived weaknesses. If Cornwalls or LaScala's were upgraded to perfection (at their price, they should be ) I would have bought new instead of used !
  12. Leave the covers on, or they will hypnotize you !
  13. If any Windtalkers can crack the code on mine, let me know. I would like to know the year. I have seen a couple charts, and still can't figure it out !
  14. I have a pair, I would drop 800 on them in a heartbeat !
  15. I have Chorus 2's and I am having trouble with date and year. W/0 3032 on both speakers. S/N 15702/15703. They also have a P/N which probably doesn't matter. If anybody can tell me any info on this, Thanks... Also, my 77 LaScala's have composite horns, all I have read is they had metal horns til 87. Highly unlikely these were modified prior to me acquiring them. Any ideas ???
  16. My girl thinks my LaScala's are beautiful ! Will gladly go upstairs when " I wanna rock "
  17. The expression on his face said it all. I knew he would not be back ! I had a friend over that has a bose system. I played Page/Plant No Quarter while having a cold one. This was on my my Chorus 2's, he couldn't pick his lower jaw off the floor. He could not believe the sound difference. He said, it's like being in the front row at the concert. I said yeah, that's the point !
  18. Road trip, LOL ! I have them on C.L. and always getting offers to trade. I have been offered guns, pool tables, car parts, vintage amps and gear... I thought I had them sold, then the guy asked to hear the LaScala's. Oops... My bad. Won't do that again.
  19. Would like to sell these, Work perfectly, original owner. Reno. NV. $400. I have LaScala's and Chorus 2's now, if you were wondering. LOL!
  20. I have a sub, thanks...
  21. Thanks everyone ! The crossovers are original. Should I ship them to Bob for a rebuild, or buy his replacements ? I have heard LaScala's don't play bass. It sounds awesome to me, not super low, but impressive. Better bass than my Chorus 2's for sure. Chorus plays heavy bass parts well, but if there is subtle bass, it seems to have a lack response for softer bass lines or bass drums. As for a center channel, another Scala would be ideal, but size wise I'm not sure I could pull it off. In 1985, I heard a pair of Klipschorns in a night club while stationed in Korea. I was amazed. I said , one day I will get a pair. Can't deal with the corner placement, so Scala's will do fine. I love them ! Can't stop looking at them...
  22. Hey, Good news. My employer had a pair used as p.a. speakers in a rec. center. I noticed they were no longer there, and asked about there whereabouts. They bought a portable p.a. system, and moved the LaScala's to a storage barn. I asked if I could give them a new home, and was told I could have them. I loaded them up, took them home, and I am now a proud owner of 1977 LaScala's !!! I am using a Yamaha mx-2 amp, and they sound great. My Chorus 2's will be my rear speakers now. I just need a Heresy for a center channel and my system will be complete. Happy day...
  23. Heritage speakers are like super models. Grab them, love them, and never let them go ! I bought a Yamaha M-60 power amp, and I love the sound. Bass can be a little slow and lazy is my only complaint. That's a big rigid woofer to be moving. Maybe upgraded crossovers will help. Congrats. I stole my Chorus IIs for 500 bucks.
  24. Just got a pair of Chorus 2's on ebay. I have had klf 10's for 12 years. The klf's seem to sound a bit brighter, a little cleaner at times like when a guitar is solo ect. Chous are powerful , maybe a little laid back sounding. Just wondered if this is normal sounding, as I have never heard them before. I put my ears against tweeters and can't tell if the sound is coming through , or if the midrange. Where do I start checking ?
