  1. This same thing happened to me, klipsch sent me a procedure to remove the battery and reinstall it. that worked. it seemed to reset the charging controller inside the unit.
  2. I think about it this way...I could have worse addictions, so I chose klipsch
  3. I've seen glass tops on speakers before, its ok I guess. it depends on what your trying to achieve. if people are going to be putting things on it, glass might be a good idea. On my one la scala, that seems to be a bit if a $#^@ magnet, I have a cloth on the top of it.
  4. Awesome, cant wait to see the outcome.
  5. I had the same issue with one of my old subs. it was a problem with the power supply circuit. I took it in and had it repaired.
  6. I have 2 510's with the "mumps" and 5 without. They look to be the exact same size, and have the same hole patterns. without getting out my measuring tape, I think its would be an exact fit.
  7. QFT I had to google that Me too, and I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest one here Are you saying were old?
  8. Its not about volume, its about quality, clarity, efficiency, dynamics, and getting that full rich sound. 98% of the time I listen at very modest levels, almost to the point where its background music.
  9. i was thinking the http://www.klipsch.com/KPT-335-BM. 12.25 inches in depth. It has the same MF/HF driver(335HF) set as the KPT435 which i own personally. its pretty hard to beat. While its easy for me to spend your money, using the K510, and K703, i like your upgrade options a little better down the road. The guys are right, value of the Forte is hard to beat, but longer term, i like your options a little better if you go with the KPT335. Again, i say all that knowing its easy for me to spend your $.
  10. Does anyone know what the effect the height of a bass horn has on the passband of the Horn? for example, if you had a single height MWM bin, and you kept the same design, but increased the horn height, how would that effect the passband of the horn, and what about the sound? keeping all things equal, I'm thinking that it would not affect the passband but would flatten the horn response and increase its efficiency. another example, the BFM THT keeps the same design but does essentially modify the horn height. which flattens the response, and makes the horn more efficient, less distortion etc? am I way off base here? or will this work. from my other thread, I have a custom centre channel, I'm thinking of trying building a single MWM, and 1.5x the height of a single MWM. but I need to know that the design will work. a double height MWM is to high for my application.
  11. Tell me your selling the Jubilee...
  12. Someone is going to get lucky.
  13. i thought we were doing really well for quite a while...this is the first I've seen here in a long time.
  14. Funny, I just bought a KMC1 today to use it as with my phone, so I can work hands free in my office. it is great for a little box. I am going to buy another one for my home office.
  15. Yepper that might happen for sure. What is the resistance of the woofers in the MWM double bin? Hi Turbox! Sorry it took so long to get back to you! The MWM double bin as two K-43E woofers rated at 4 Ohms each and 300 Watts continuous each. The MWM was originally designed around the K-33E, wich plays slightly lower at listening volumes, so this may be an avenue you might want to consider if you do indeed go with an MWM, which I highly recommend!! Roger I have 2 K33E's.
