  1. I like the Yamaha p2500s qmps...plenty of power, sound great, cheap to pickup used (I bought mine for around $200 each), reliable and they have fans if needed.i hqve never heard a fan even comein in my new setup or my old setup. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  2. The stuff I got was from Amazon, and it cost me about $120 to do 2 layers of each type for the full cabinet.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00URUIKAK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cwfhFbT5NXHX9 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TKXMPH7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qxfhFb33DCFAB I hear you on the weight... I think mine are around 200+ lbs each. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  3. How do I know if I need to use any stuffing, and or pyramid foam (for reflections) with my cabinet? My external dimensions are 25" wide (front), 17" deep with it being 13" wide in the rear, and 47" high. I am using 2 Emminence 15" Kappa C woofers with the EV DH1A compression driver (which is huge). The cabinet is 3/4" thick except for the front baffle which is 1 1/2" thick. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  4. Who are you asking...if it is me use EV DH1As... I think they are 6 or 8 ohm. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  5. https://www.spoonflower.com/tags/speaker%20grille I found out about this on AVS Forums. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  6. I am in Mexico, but the place that prints on their material is in the USA. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  7. The horn mouth is not really unsupported...the woofer pads are attachrd to the front baffle and also the horn it self. The front baffle is 1 1/2" thick, and is beveled on all four sides where it connects to the horn (it is under pressure when the screws are installed. I did this by laying the horn face down, and then laying the cabinet in place. By doing this there is a good amount of weight on it when the screws are installed) It is rock solid. The woofer pads are sealed to the horn ports with silicone adheasive and it sticks like glue... I have to use a putty knife to seperate them. As far as a faux finish on the horn...I am going to try and make a woodgrain grill for it. I found a place that has acoustically transparent material and will print whatever you want on it... I am going to see if I can get a goid pic of a sheet of veneer, and then photochop it onto the horn pic. I will try and match the image. Also the cabinet is one piece eccept for the rear panel now. Today I installed some dynamat type matetial and it providrs additional sealing...I assume. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  8. What I decided to do was just use the Dynamat style stuff (the stuff I got has zero odor), and some 150mil on top of it. I put 2 layers of the Dynamat style stuff on the sides, bottom, woofer pads, and horn sides (36sqft) with the 150mil stuff on top of all of it. I also used the 150mil on the removable rear panel to seal the cabinet. Should I use some wool or something inside the cabinet now too? Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  9. Just got notified that Fedex found my headphones after 2 weeks, and they are delivering it to my Texas address today. Looks like I will have my Mass Drop 6xx h(Sennheiser) headphones after all. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  10. You might be able to select the conversation, and then select share. Then share it to the new phone. What software are youusing to text with...you mightbe ableto install it in the new phone and then log in, and see the whole converstion onthe new phone.Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  11. I have not had an iphone for years. My 4 year old Samsung died so i researched, and found the best phone for me...it was the s20 plus I brought it home and my wife said she wanted the Note 10, so we went back to the store and compared them She brought home the S20 too. The camera is great, and it has 120hz refresh whkch is nice and speedy. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  12. The 6xx is the one I had coming, but Fedex lost it. I also have a Schiit Heresy amp coming. How would you say hour headsets sound compared to your speaker setup? Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  13. What would you say is different in the sound between rhe 2? The price is def in the area I am looking for, and I like open back headphones. The last open back ones I had were the ATH 7s, as I recall from the late 70s and I loved them. I drove them with my Yamaha 1010 integrated in classe A mode. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Claude, how do they compRe to the k402s? I had some Drop xxx6 headphones on order and FedEx lost them, so now I am looking for a nice pair of under $500 headphones that I can use as a reference fir the k402 sound. I figure if I get a goid set thay sound similar to the MEHs...then I can compare my in room sound with others via comparrisons to the headphones. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  15. Question...what do you use for headphones for a reference that is close to the sound of your K402/K402 MEHs? Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  16. I am thinking of 1: adding a 2nd layer of MDF which will make the cabinet 1 1/2" thick 2: adding 2 layers of dynamat type material 3: 1 layer of Roxul R60... if it will fit I am lookijg at the material they use for acoustic panels and print on...of it is transparent enough... I can take a picture of a sheet of veneer, and then photo chop it to the proper size, and then have them printed. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  17. I should have 2 more cabinets made by sometime in August....they would be done sooner, but my cell phone just died and I had to divert cash. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  18. Yes and no...by going vertical it takes less floor space, and I liked the design look of a $60k pair of speakers...so I integrated the protuding horn and triangular cabinet. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk

    Car Thread

This is my old RSX...not the fastest car I ever built, but it was the one that was finished. Follow the link for all the pics and the info....my phone is broke so I do not have access to the pics now other than the magazine article. http://www.superstreetonline.com/features/htup-1103-2003-acura-rsx-type-s/ Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  20. My phone broke yesterday...best I can do is this from my tablet.Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  21. The woofers are mounted on the same sides as the original from Chris, but the horn is installed vertically so the woofers are top and bottom instead of side to side. This does change my dispersion degrees. I played them last night with the same settings as the no cabinet version, and it is an entirely different sounding beast now. As soon as my new amp is done I will contact Chris so we can tune this properly. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  22. Today I got my center channel cabinet. I had to abort the side wood pieces that the woofer pads were mounted to, and drill mounting holes through the horn to the woofer pads. I am using silicone between the horn and the woofer pads plus the screws. I grabbed the horn driver to see if there was any play and there is zero(I can literallylift the rear of the cabinet off the ground via the horn driver with no slop). I am still going to line thebhorn and cabinet with a dynamat style material with one thin layer and 1 real thick layer to also help provide additional sealing for the cabinet. My wife liked the cabinet, but when the big black horn sticks out she doesnt... I might need to try the wood grain film that another klipsch k402 user used. I need to find out where to get it and if I can get it in Mahagony. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  23. I know... the quoted comment was only about multiple citizenship. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  24. The USA does not recognize dual citizenship, but they do not make you surrender your passport either unless the law changed in the last 10 years. Mexico does not require you denounce it either. I know a few years ago there was a US Government official that had passports for half a dozen countries too. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
