  1. The only way I think around it is to go for 6 months and then leave for 6 months and 1 day (and repeat). If you apply for a temporary residence or a permanent residence you have to list all your income to qualify, and the USA has agreements with Canada and Mexico to share the info. Also if you have a health issues the only way would be to make a substantial investment into Canada, or to be married to a Canadian as far as my research showed when we were looking in 2017. 3. Yeah we were looking at Vacouver Island. We are in an area in Mexico that they call the cold mexico... I grew up in Michigan and have lived in Colorado, England and lastly in California, so the temps here are great. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  4. We looked atmoving to Canada, but we could not score enough points. One thing to remember is Canada will tax any income you have from outside of Canada, and Mexico doesn't. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  5. A lot of millionaires live here as it is one of the most expensive areas in Mexico. We have about 15k of xpats out of 80k population. A lot of our friends retired here and play golf...others live here part time and travel the world Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  6. Still not legal here, but it is decriminalized now. The current President said he was going to legalize, and allow importation. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  7. We are in La Cañada which is in Los Frailes...right across from the golf course neighborhood. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  8. After we moved here.... I told my wife Mexicans know how to party! Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  9. Well it is Mexico...you do not expect Mexicans? My wife calls it Adult Disneyland because there are always parties, and celebrations almost 365 days a year. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk

  11. It seams like anywhere you move to...it is great in the beginning, and then when everyone finds out how nice it is the place grows, and crime grows with it. Pick the best neighorhood you can when you move is my advice. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  12. They sure are not this year...It is like the elderly are being purged. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  13. They gave billions out and there is zero to be repaid to the Government. That means there is zero reason to raise the retirement age, due to the pandemic. Now for years they have been talking about raising the retirement age due to people living longer. I would not be surprised if taxes are raised though due to all the money they gave to the bllionares and bailouts. Of course the middle class will be the one to pay for it in taxes. 14. I should have my center channel cabinet tomorrow. I also have some dynamat type material I am thinking of using to damp the cabinet. I will post up pics of the MEH as soon as I install the drivers, horn. and wire it. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  15. We moved to Mexico...tired of all the BS going on in the US, high taxes, and in general just to expensive to live when retired. Positives: $300 a year for property taxes electricity is around $50 a month water bill is about $20 for our bottled water about $20 for our city water Full coverage auto insurance on our 2013 van is $600 a year Phone bill for 2 cellphones $50 Cable internet $20 Netflix HD $10 Food is also cheaper if you shop around Bus fare is about 50 cents to go the full run on the bus Garbage pickup twice a week...free You can live off Social Security New Hospital just built 2 years ago New mall being built now, and another new theater Less than 1 hour to Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, HEB, and Best Buy, and a huge maal that has very high end merchandise Nice theater 10 minutes from our house, where movies are a couple of bucks for current movies in USA Theaters Radio Shack is by the theater 2 large grocery stores that are just like in the USA Liverpool which is like a Macys Exellent restaurants for not much money No AC required, no heater required either in our home due to weather of high 80s max usually, and nights gojng down to 40s average We have beautiful weather year round, and the people are very friendly Cons: Importing items is expensive 17%, plus we pay $1 a kilo to have it delivered to us from Texas. Internet sucks depending on where you live...2 block from our house is fiber internet...no idea when we will get it on our street. Gas price is about the same as California You can live as inexpensive as you like or as luxurious as you like here. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk

I love the paint....how much prep was required on the horns to paint them? I have thought about having mine sprayed by a local shop. I originally wanted to get them dipped for a carbon fiber look, but no one down here does that. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  18. It was well known in the 90s that they were doing this and also that they had miss marked items all over the store. I ince picked up some JVC SVHS tapes for $2, that were supoosed to be around $10. I heard that the missmarking was to get more people into the store. I started buying from Frys when the San Jose store in the early 90s. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  19. I have bought many things from Frys...just watch out for repackaged returns sold as new, as they are notorious for this. I once got an answering machine sold as new, but it had someones messages on it already. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  20. Def a La Scala or a Belle is the way to go. 3 identical speakers is the best. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  21. In 1997 while stationed at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, I went to a shop called The Audio Library, and I heard some Khorns, Infinity Reference, and Cerwin Vega S1 or 2s (not sure which but they were the bigger ones). I liked all of the ones I listened to b ut they were way out of my budget. Then in 1979 while Stationed at RAF Alconbury, I went to RAF Lakenheath and saw the Cerwin Vegas again and picked up a pair of the smaller S ones. Before I left in 1980, I was at Lakenheath again, and got a chance to buy a pair of LaScalas off the floor that they had just put on the floor the day before, and sold the Cerwin Vegas. I still remember the demo... the rep was demoing some ESS bookshelf speakers with a Phase Linear 700 (they were cranking), and I asked if I could hear the La Scalas... Radar Love was playing the drum solo when he switched them, and I was standing only a few feet away. I had no idea how efficient they were nor was there much further I could have stood away...when he switched them I felt like someone had punched me hard in the stomach! I told the saleman I wanted them, and he got aporoval to sell me the pair for $1200...not sure if it was a deal or not, but there was no tax, and when I shipped out they were crated and shipped as my personal effects free. I had them for a year or two and then did not have the space for them, so I sold them. I went through various speakers over the next 30 years until I found another pair for $500 (not in good shape). I kept them for a while and then started modding them, and eventually gave them to a friend. Fast forward to 2016, and I saw Chris As post about the MEHs, and I now have 3 that will be ready for tuning soon. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  22. @rick mcinnis How far off the floor are you running them as vertical...mine are about 13" off the floor. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  23. I had a wood french cleat installed on our walls that goes all around the room. Now I can hang my acoustic panels and anything else I want to hang from the cleats. The area on our loft that has a wood french cleat is currently being used as a hanging planter with the cleat too. Our front heights and rear heights are also held by the wood french cleats. 24. On the front panel you can push the mute light and it will unmute or mute, depending on what the state was before you pushed the LED. As I recall...when you have a blinking LED it means that input/output is in edit mode currently. I found this out when using the PC software. I also dislike the navigation via front panel.
