  1. As long as we continue to open back up, and not continue safe distancing and masks.... sadly, I think this will go o for a long time. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  2. I think he is right. There might be a few that survive, but I think the majority will be gone for good. I hope that this means they will continue to sell Blurays and 4k discs. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  3. I wonder if they owe on the upgrades they did. 20-40% of capacity does not give 2 meters distancing either. This is why we cannot have theaters in business in the USA and other countries can. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  4. Thank you, I really like the veneer too. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  5. That is for a MEH name plate I am having engraved out of 1/8" copper. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  6. I am getting another one for my surrounds, rear surrounds, and heights. It will be SE only so 125w per amp module in stereo.... surrounds and rear surroumds will be internally biamped in the amp with 125w for horns and woofers. Now I need to find out which is better...running one speaker off rhe same stereo amp or running bass on one and horns on the other. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  7. 170w to each compression driver, and 370w to each pair of woofers.
  8. 2nd cabinet is now ready for horn and drivers, and I have to say the carpenter did a better job than the first one by far. The third cabinet will start in a couple of weeks and it will be a rectangle that will be installed like most k402s are. It will be installed on top of a custom rack that will house my 6 channel amp. Hopefully by Xmas I will have a 2nd amp built.this amp wil lbe similar to thecurre t amp but will have 6 stereo amps with 2 Minidsp 2x4HDs. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  9. In Mexico they assign you seats and make sure that no seat is assigned in front, behind, or to the sides of you...with a minimum of 6' spacing.i have been told they only allow 20 people per theater showing too. The problen in the USA is the people refuse to wear masks, and greedy theaters would pack the theater if possible. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  10. I was powering mine with a 350w per channel stereo pro amp, and it was great. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  11. That is because they have zero problem wearing masks, and the US is one that is polar opposite. This is why I think more and more Businesses will close. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  12. Yup, not only that Amazon is buying up old theaters for local shipping too.
  13. I watched a video on Youtube and they said the malls have been going out of business all over, and this was before the pandemic.
  14. I do not see any reason why you cannot make movies if there are no theaters...once the pandemic is over of course. It has been increasing in price to go to a theater, and a lot of people will not be able to go after the pandemic is over. Life as we knew before is most likely going to have a lot of changes.
  15. I have been saying for a while that the Theaters might not open again...they just put massive bucks into the renovation of theaters with power recliners. How long can they go before the Banks, and investors want their money? Add to that that rhe Movies Companies make more profit streaming. Look at what Disney just made by streaming their own movies... even when they are streamed by other Streamers they get 80% of the profit. I will not miss them, as they are way too overpriced to go to on a regular basis. I used to go every weekend prior to 2000, and then I started to just buy they movie as it was less expensive. 16. I sure miss my DTS10s. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  17. A long day today...the 8 pin Speakons are no fun at all. I had to rewire several times after turning on the first time to find out why I had distorted sound, and it was the XLRs,then the speakons were the last problem. Right now I only have 1 MEH running through the new amp, and the other channel is on the p2500s. Tomorrow I will finish making the speakon cables, plus 2 power cables. Then I need to figure out how to run 12v LEDs for power indicating. The power switches had LEDs, but as I found out they were 12v and the seller never indicated this. I found out the hard way and then saw it in an Amazon review. It is so nice to be able to listen without hiss. Now I can get these tuned the way they should be. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  18. I am running each pair of amps to its own powercon connector. I originally did this so I could turn them on and off via a Insteon power outlet via IP control. I wish that I knew enough about wiring to make the wires cleaner looking. I was reading Icepowers design info and they said even speaker wires should be clear of input wires...which makes it much harder with my layout to make it clean looking. 19. New amp is almost together now...keeping fingers crossed that my first assembly try works. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  20. I just ordered some 1" neomagnets that have a recess for a screw head... I am thinking of gluing them inside a recess on 1/2" pine grill frame, and then use a button head or allen head for the horn. This way the head can fit in the magnet recess and the frame be flush with the horn. Sent from my SM-G985F using Tapatalk
  21. I picked up some black material for the grills to see if my wife would wife would like it better, and even just held in place with clamps she said it looks much better...more like it is a piece of furniture in our living room now. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  22. Used they are around $500 each...where are you? If you are in Texas I might be interested in it. Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks very much for the info. On the k402...did you put a magnet for each screw holding the k402? Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  24. One thing I have noticed with my K402 MEHs...we are getting dust in the ports. I am def going to make some black grills (was going to have some wood grain printed grills made, but do not have the time to get the pic of a 4x8 sheet of veneer taken to send to the printer. I am currently trying to figure out the best way to make the frame, and how to attach it to the grills and be easy to remove. I am assuming most people who have done this install magnets in the frame, and then use the screws for the horn front to attach to magnetically...is this correct? Do you make a picture frame out of wood to attach...if so how thick and wide do you make the frame, or would it be best to use a sheet of plywood and cut the center out? I saw a video on parts express where they used plastic rectangular tubing and 90 degree ends that looked real nice and easy to make once you get the pieces. Suggestions, examples, pics?
