Lemon string replied to Lemon string's topic in Forum Meetup Planning + Past Klipsch Pilgrimages
Yeah we'll do another one of these sooner than later I hope..... -
Hi, I have RF82 II's and had the crossovers redone by DeanG. You can find him here in the forums. He did a great job and I heard a noticeable improvement. Good luck. How are you enjoying the RP8000's? I'd like to hear them they look impressive. Cheers

Is Bob out of stock?? -
Just read through this thread on my phone so excuse me if this is off topic..., have any of you heard the new Sophia electric el-34 tube? I think they came out about a year ago I read a promising review upon release but haven’t anything since.

Cornwalls would be my vote. -
Personally, I'd punt the rx-v530 before I bought other speakers. My amp journey with my cornwalls was, I started with a mid level Yammy receiver, upgraded to another Yammy receiver, followed by a Adcom 2535 with a Emotiva ump - 1 next came a SE tube amp. Each step there was noticeable differences. Good luck chasing the dragon, enjoy. In my opinion Hersey's would be the wrong move based on what you are describing.

Looking for good speaker set up no subwoofer
Lemon string replied to Kman's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Seems to me the biggest thing to consider is the size of the room and where you'll be able to place the speakers. The obvious choice would be Khorns. If that isn't an option RF-83's, RF-7, forte, Chorus, Cornwalls or KLF-30's would all be respectable candidates. Palladiums, should one have the means would be a very worthy consideration. -

Congrats $400 on cornwalls.... you win! Check out Bob Crites website, you can't go wrong he'll set you up with what you need. Enjoy
-
I have the sterling EL34 and have been really happy with the combo... on both my Cornwalls and Khorns
-
Thats a good deal. I've always wanted a pair of verticals.
-
Like shakey, I wish I had waited.... I spent what the seller is asking on a pair that were in worse cosmetic condition, the crossovers were corroded, they needed new tweeters and had mismatched woofers. Essentially I bought cabinets and rebuilt all the electronics and components. They do sound great now:)
-
Great looking pair at what I'd say is a very reasonable price. Good luck and welcome
-
Yeah I looked at the pilgrimage date as soon as I posted that... So would the first Sat in june be better???
-
Hey sorry I've been a bit out of the pocket.... How about second or third weekend of may???
-
That sounds reasonable enough Jim, I'll check with my wife and holler back soon. Cheers
-
Just saw this now, thats a pretty good list maybe we should get a date together.
