  1. If it helps, I have plans to travel a loop from Lexington, Louisville (or Cincinnati), Indy, Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, and then home within a week or two... still trying to get the planets to align.
  2. I know that I will regret this, but I am offering my Heresy II Walnut Oil here for sale. I have owned them since ~ 2014 and have been impressed with their looks and I have enjoyed their sound. They have the ~ 1" risers, new seals, and new Jantzen capacitors. They are missing the back labels but one can see by the veneer that they are consecutively numbered. The cabinets are in good condition and the grills look to be flawless. Prefer local pick up or if need be, they can be shipped. <edit> P.S. Because this place used to be so helpful, I am offering them here first and will list them on FBMP later. If it helps, I have plans to travel a loop from Lexington, Louisville (or Cincinnati), Indy, Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, and then home.
  3. Why do men die before their wives? Because we want to.
  4. You did nothing wrong. There has been a troll who has crapped in countless threads and it had been tiresome for WAY too long. There is a little more to the story, but you had nothing to do with any of it. I sent you a PM earlier. Did you see it?
  5. Brandon packed 3 FR7II on that haul. I was holding a system for Brandon and we met in Cincinnati for the exchange. In the back of that car, he fit a pair of FR83, RC64, (4) RS62, RT 12D, a huge Denon receiver, and several other smaller speakers. There was no room for a hitchhiker. RIP and Happy Heavenly Birthday Brandon
  6. In 2013, I scored my first pair of KLF30. I was able to lay them flat on top of one another in the back seat of a 2004 Toyota Avalon. FF, I was able to fit a pair of Chorus II in the same car: One in the back seat, the other in the trunk...barely. 2013 I rented a minivan to haul 2 Belle, 2 Cornwall, and 2 small subs.
  7. I remember seeing one at your place. I didn't know if it was a single or a pair.
  8. Because of his destructiveness, he should have been banned a long time ago.
  9. Yeah, he has edited his post, at least once. You have been on this forum for 24 years. You've been a lot of help to many people who needed it, both in the technical field and a lot of comic relief. I sure hate that it came to this, especially since it was avoidable.
  10. Skip the 3 and go straight to the Chorus IV.
  11. What you remember and the way it happened might be different.
  12. I'm not sure if one can be too cautious. Long ago, I was told that when shipping speakers, it is best to ship them with the woofers facing up or down. It made sense to me because of the cone's natural direction of travel and that lightly loaded heavy suspension trucks transfer the bumps of the road into the cargo, similar to hitting everything with a heavy rubber mallet. For lightweight trucks and cars, it shouldn't matter. If an RB75 or RC7 were shipped facing only up or down, the drivers, probably, would break the horns.
  13. While looking for the same picture of the Miata with the LaScala, I found that you asked about it too. Neil @DizRotus posted them. I am not sure who it is.
  14. No no no... this thread is not wrapped up. You owe us pictures. We are men and we like pictures. We like them to be dressed at first, so don't show them without the grills until we are throwing money on the stage.
  15. I have had 2 pairs of H1 BR and HII WO and have a pair of 1.5 waiting for me to pick up and they have removable backs. These are my HII. I remember reading something about the HII having either a round or square terminal box.
  16. Actually, I have desires / plans to make a loop from here to Chicago, down to STL, and then home.
  17. Mine are Walnut. Do the H 1.5 have removable backs?
  18. These look like the offspring of those. These are local to be, but overpriced too.
  19. In the late '60s, my Dad bought a pair of EV Marquis, similar in size to the Aristocrat, and I still have them. I haven't heard the Aristocrat, but I'm sure that they are worthy. That one looks great, too bad it's not for a pair.
  20. Andreas Lubitz didn't care either. <edit> Nor did Mohamed Atta
