  1. Congratulations. I was talking with Greg about their history and what all is right and wrong with them. Had my mind made up, told him I'd give what he was asking for them and asked if he took PayPal. He said he would accept PP, but then said someone named Mark was supposed to be on his way to look at them and if you didn't show up, I was next. The grey horn is what I look for when I can't tell how deep the ports are. You have the more soughtafter version 1 and the cherry finish makes it a cherry deal. As usual, opusk's advice is right again. You're right: the seller is good on his word. Did you check out his GoldenEar Triton 2s?
  2. I raced a SV650 in AHRMA BOT F1, raced all over the US and was 2nd in points in 2005. I won the Daytona BOT F1 in 2006, came home and sold everything except for my leathers and haven't raced since (I know it's not much but it's all my wallet could stand). Have you been on Putnam? I raced there with WERA a couple of times, before the falling out. I busted my ars there in turn four in 2003 on a FZR600. I know what you mean about feeling slow. Other riders in my home area called me Mad Max for a reason. I got to the track and discovered I was only a playground king when I got into a real match. It's a great group. Competitors will help each other all we can to get out and risk blood, teeth and eyeballs for a $5 plaque. You're right about BMP. Been to Mid Ohio? I prolly won't make it to Indy, but if I find some speakers in your area.... Too bad Colin is hanging up his leathers at the end of this season.
  3. Mark, I hope the future with your speakers are what’s best, sale or keep. It sounds like you’ve had them for a while, and it sounds like you have enjoyed the experience of the wonderful sound that Paul Klipsch developed. You furthered the sound beyond the typical consumer level and I admire that. It seems that your tongue in cheek thread has brought to the surface people who thought you were seriously trying to sell them; people who thought you had an arrogance in your wording and people who tried to keep the peace. If you’re someone who has been here for a while, then you know this is an edifying group of people who will go out of their way to be helpful. Regardless if you’re being playful or you’re just indiscreet, there is an indisputable fact that you’ll not get the free assistance on Ebay or CL that you have gained on this forum.
  4. Yeah, it's cool to watch him go from not being able to touch the ground sitting on the seat, all the way to MOTOGP. I seen him and Tommy duke it out on the track many times. I remember reading in RRW in the late 90s how he hoped to make it into GP. Who would have thought he would become world champion? Do you ride or race?
  5. Thanks babadono. Looks like a rough rider.
  6. Usually to hide the Bondo. Some speakers have taken a tumble down stairs and been banged harder than a low-cost rent-a-***** at a college frat party. I'm not saying that's the case here, though. Some people think the rattlecan paint job, covered in peel and stick floor tile or dipped in green goo looks better than natural wood.
  7. To me, a very informative thread, so far. An organ (pipe organ) can go lower than the best of speakers. Though I know they’re not designed for the crisp tones of a tambourine or a cowbell (more cowbells), I thought they would sound good for lows. GLWS
  8. i don't think the price would be pulled into play had the insults not been included
  9. Tom, I like your tact and the way you’re trying to impart peacekeeping. To answer your question: Some people are numbnuts and a hint or nudge doesn’t have the desired effect. Actually, a swift and violent knee to the groin could be fruitless in more than one way – bless their heart. Now, in the OP’s defense, he prolly didn’t know that, here, he was among peaceful, meek, caring and informative individuals. I have had ads on CL and free dating sites and to put it nicely, they can be very annoying. He probably just copied and pasted from an ad, not knowing the mild mannered members doesn’t take too kindly to being insulted. This OP doesn't, seem to, deserve the dunce cap, but some do.
  10. One pair. Lots of bass from small portable cabinets! They have a provision to be mounted on a stand and also have built-in side handles. NO TEXTS. 630-335-1896 Link
  11. It didn't include a 'final price'. At the expense of being rude, some think I am not trustworthy and will "pad the bill". Nuff siad on this. Prolly your very low post count that did it..
  12. After rectifying the difference, I can't imagine anyone thinks you're scum.
  13. Geez, Willum don't beat yourself up! It is no big deal. Sometimes our quick response reminds me of the guy who sits behind you at the stop light waiting for the light to change so he can lay on the horn. I am sure you meant no harm or disrespect to anyone. Sorry, I didn't know it was you in front of me...
  14. Ya'll have it all wrong. opusk2k9 is the Craigslist Killer Deal Finder King. Talking about relieving the bulge in my wallet!!! Because of him, I bought a second pair of KLF-30, RF-63, RC-7, RS-7 and I don't know what else he would have led me to....Thanks Brandon As for those who I have helped spend money - you're welcome.
  15. You seen one CW, you've seen them all Congrats, mustang guy. You did sent the money to secure the deal - right? I could tell by the price, the email addy and the ad lacking a phone number that this sale was legitimate. I can't wait for my mail order bride - just 7 more payments.
  16. Beautiful pair of Klipsch Cornwalls!! Rich warm sound, beautiful cabinets. Please mail me at Cathycone3(at Pictures
