I was just responding to your disclaimer since it sounded like you’re not sure what the rules are.

I just can’t figure out why people still don’t know what they can, and cannot post about, considering how much it’s been discussed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do appreciate you for that. You have a service for replacing caps and building networks. I mentioned your name too, but that didn't cause any problem. The last I read, you posted that you want to be removed as an official Klipsch cap replacer. Is that still the case or are you back with Klipsch?

Do you have to wear a house arrest ankle cuff when you're in Forum Jail? 🤔

No, and the warden isn't a bad person either. He's just doing what he thinks is right.

  3. It's not like Klipsch is still making the MTM. Some have bought the MCM1900 that didn't come with the MTM, so it should be a non-issue to point them in a direction that makes them happy, builds trust, and they might stay.

It's not a matter of promoting other party's offerings: It's just conversations without acting like options don't exist. The game that gets played upsets people and they, rightfully so, feel tricked, rather than feeling they were treated like adults. The game is causing a Streisand effect and is driving people to the competition.

The huge departure of valued members should be an indication that the new rules have killed the forum. The low turnout for Mr. Klipsch's birthday bash is proof that it is hurting all the way around. One or two say that they are done, but they come right back. Some say they are leaving and that's what they do. Most left without saying so and the exodus since 2020 should have been avoided.

The new Heritage sounds a lot better than earlier offerings. Some existing owners will buy new, while most can't afford 10, 20, or $30,000 speakers, so a small number will try to improve the sound of what they own. Since the Heritage line is less than 5% of new Klipsch sales and none of the new ones need to be refreshed or upgraded it should have never been any worry. I am sure GM would not cut relations with someone who wants to install Brembo brake pads on their Vette, rather than AC Delco. It would be a disaster for GM to condemn them. Caps and diaphragms have to be a microscopic fraction of a percent of sales and are not worth what they have cost. It's like wasting dollars to save pennies.

    Just my 2 cents.

And I thought that my response was funny.

  5. Teacher: "Johnny, I want you to say a sentence that begins with the letter i"
    Little Johnny: "I is..."
Teacher interrupts: no Johnny, always say "I am".
Little Johnny: "Ok Miss... I am the ninth letter of the alphabet."

  6. This weekend (March 16 or 17) I will be traveling from Chicago, through Indy, and Cinci, to Lexington KY, and can drop them off on that route if that helps a buyer.

  7. It has been a minute since 1984. That is when I bought a pair of Heresy, new from a place called Ovation. I can't recall the first tunes that I played through them. What I listen to these days is a lot less radical than then, most of the time lol.

OP has been AWOL since Oct. '21.

It might be that Matt is looking around at Forte posts. Yesterday Matt asked about new caps. I recommended jem, dean and the C word, which got me a warning that we can't say the C word and the thread removed.

Is there any wonder why 99% of the members are gone? At this rate, the company will be like Altec and JBL

Anyone want to make a bet that, since the Heritage line is less than 5% of sales and the ones who buy the Heritage speakers are being driven away, soon they won't need an Engineer in the US on the payroll?

  9. A girl in college calls her father after having sex for the first time.

She says, "Dad, I have a confession to make. I ain't a virgin anymore."

Hearing this, the dad gets furious and shouts, "I work my *** off to get you into one of the best universities in the state, and you still say ain't!?"

Stopped during Covid and yet to return.   Will this change in the near future, I had always wanted to attend one of these and now being retired, I can.

    Hope they come back!!

IMHO, Covid has nothing to do with why the Pilgrimages came to an end. Evidence shows the real reasons for the departure of 99% of the forum members and very few people attending the PWK BB.

Super keen if you'd be ok shipping to California (Torrance) at my expense. Thankfully these are the pro ones that can take a bit of corner crushing.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was out of town until midnight last night.

All Heresy 1 and 1.5 have rear mounted drivers and removable backs.

The K76 is a front mounted driver and did not appear until the Heresy II

Yeah, I went by what W&T had told me. He had already swapped them out when I was looking at them. He'll have to confirm what tweeter was in those. I also noted one set had K53 mid (1985 model) mounted to the K701 and the ones from 1984 that had the adapter to the K700 were actually K52H.

That info mistake is all my fault. I had the KP250, H1.5 and H2 all apart and was mixed up on the tweeters. Sorry.
