  1. Weren't the winners announced on March 12? I haven't heard a word. Guess I am not a lucky winner.😑
  2. Which model of speakers do you have?
  3. I recently added the Lokius 6-band EQ, and am happier than a puppy with 2 peters! It is placed between my Yamaha CD-S2100 cd/dac and my Yamaha A-S2200 integrated, using XLRs into the balanced inputs & outputs, in all the units My speakers are Chorus II's w/Crites x-over and TI 'phragms. This is an astounding upgrade, that has me wondering " why didn't I do this before?" The ability to tweak the tones to your desired tastes is the next best thing to butter on bread! Schiit is affordable, quality components made here is the USA. My Chorus II's are leaving me slackjawed and totally stoked. Any other Schiit fans here?
  4. Thread revival. I am so glad I scored my HP-3's before they vanished from the marketplace. I have over the past months upgraded my hi-fi, to higher end Yamaha components, and very recently added a Schiit Lokius 6 band EQ. I don't have a headphone amp (yet), but my A-S2200 integrated has a headphone jack, and this is how I am enjoying my HP-3's. The Lokius is fantastic for dialing in your desired tones. If you love the Heritage sound, these are like K-horns in your head. Very balanced, smooth, deep, lively cans. Over at the HeadFi forum, they love 'em. Too bad Klipsch discontinued them.
  5. I think sometimes the wives are the ones complaining about speakers being too large. And sadly, a lot of husbands cave in. Only the strong will survive.
  6. I got one of the new Serial 1 e-bikes a few months ago. It is fabulous! Pedal assist, CVT transmission, belt drive, internal wiring, gets me off my duff. Not cheap, but either are our speakers.
  7. Micah's dad is my best and oldest friend. In the late 60's, another friends' dad had a McIntosh/Klipschorn setup that was our introduction to quality hi-fi, and we both heard it for the first time together, and were flabbergasted and dumbfounded right from the get go. How could an album sound so live and real?? Needless to say, the passion for high quality music reproduction has been prominent in our lives ever since. Last year, Micah introduced me to DAC and streaming music, I was so old school, I hadn't a clue. I owe him a big thanks for that, and I know he must be super pleased to have scored these Forte 2s. It can be a small world, eh?
  8. I believe my friend Micah from K.C. bought them. A young man who is a true hi fi enthusiast, same as me...but I am not young anymore!
  9. If you have Tidal or similiar, give this track a spin. The lows are hair raising thru a fine system. Not to mention the stellar guitar work.
  10. Is the factory warranty transferrable?
  11. If so, why wouldn't he list it here under Garage Sale?
  12. These are B stock as confirmed on the labels. Consecutive #s. What do you all think would be a good counter offer on these? I don't see any flaws except for a slight light stain on one of the woofers.
  13. Suspension Blackbird Declan ... all by Jeff Beck
  14. Hook 'em up! I drove my Chorus IIs with my 45wpc Marantz 2245 for several years. About a year ago I upgraded to a new Yamaha AS2200 (90 wpc) integrated. Let us know how you like 'em!
  15. Hey fellas, I appreciate all the various viewpoints, and all are valid and well taken. I did not mean to pit 2 great speakers against each other in a "duel" lol! If I decide to get new or lightly used Cornwalls, my Chorus' will be going to a friend. who really wants them bad, so it's not like I will never hear them again. And to pass on great speakers to a much younger man, would offer me some level of satisfaction. I do believe appreciation for quality hi-fi is a gene that not many people have. Anyways, I still haven't decided, and am going to dwell on it for a few months. It is a lot of scratch to shell out. I should really be happy with what I already have...and I am! It is just the lure, the temptation, to dip my toes into the luxury upgrade Heritage waters...is a considerable temptation indeed!
  16. I have listened to the CWIV at Common Wave in Los Angeles, and yes, they are awesome. Looking at the spec sheet, the the CW gets a little deeper on the low end than my Chorus IIs. I admire the LaScalas, but I don't have room for those plus a sub, so that's off the table. I just was hoping to find someone here who is able to answer my question, based on their own experience.
  17. I have a pair of minty Chorus IIs (w/crites xovers & ti 'phrams) and am pretty pleased with them. I am debating with myself over passing them along to my friend's son, who has offered to buy them, and getting the Cornwall IVs. Has anyone here made the same move? If so, your thoughts on the audible differences would be appreciated.
  18. Check out a well recorded dynamic jazz cd: Gordon Goodwin's Little Phat Band: An Elusive Man.
  19. I agree with Bubo, and would recommend the Heresy IVs. May be a bit smaller than what you desire, but it makes the most sense for your room, as it won't need to be close to a wall to be efficient.
  20. No. I am afraid I would make an emotional decision and pull out the plastic, lol. I need to sell some other items that I am not using in order to save up cash. I tend to buy impulsively, so I am holding off for the time being. I am glad you guys are enjoying your awesome Forte IVs!
  21. I stopped my Common Wave HiFi near downtown Los Angeles today. Wesley carries the Heritage line. I listened to the Cornwall IVs and K-horns. Wesley, the boss, was very accommodating. I didn't buy anything today, but sure got a good demonstration of what I wanted to hear, thru anything on the floor. He had the Forte IVs there too.
  22. My first Klipsch were Forte 1's, which I ordered from some mail order store in NYC in 1988. They sent me not only non-sequential serial #s, but the grill cloths were different colors. One was a green/brown, the other was black. I didn't even notice for a few months, as my place at the time was somewhat dark inside. And I didn't know or check about consecutive #s. So someone else somewhere had the matching unmatched pair. I kept them for almost 30 years. I sold them a few years ago to my pal, and scored a mint pair of Chorus IIs, this time with everything correct. But the Forte 1s sounded awesome...as do my CH2s, although the F1s went deeper, way down to 32hz.
