  1. That's how I have mine set up also. LFE + main.
  2. I was speaking of being too big physically for the room. After setting everything up properly, I have decided to keep what I have. The Chorus IIs sound great! I can live with the size of the speakers. I went and listened to a friends Axiom speakers and they sounded good but kinda loose for lack of a better word. When I returned home and listened to my Klipsch with the Denon receiver, I gained a new apprication for Klipsch. They were defined with tight bass. Gonna keep what i have.
  3. I had a mini disc in my jeep wrangler. Love it.
  4. Can't answer your question but I do remember getting my first pair of heresys. 1981. Saved and saved and loved them to death. Great speaker.
  5. Oh yes, one more question. I love the Chorus IIs but they are big for my current room. Anything available that would sound as good or better with a smaller footprint. I am a music guy before HT but the wife does love movies.
  6. Hey guys just wondering if anyone had a good breakdown of what the general difference in sound was between these receivers. I currently own a denon and like the sound. I was considering an upgrade but it is difficult to audition a varity of equipment due to the lack of local dealers. I currently listened to a friends Marantz with Axiom speakers and it sounded warmer then my Denon but I missed the high end of my system. (of course could have been the speakers) Currently using Chorus IIs in the front, Forte IIs in the rear with a RSW 15 inch sub and RC7 in the center channel. Any idea of what the different receivers would do sound wise with this setup? Thanks
  7. I play in a worship band in a local church in Little Rock. A member of the church had some ownership in a radio station or something and was clearing out the place and come across a klipschorn. He offered it to my worship pastor and it ended up being a vintage speaker with a wooden horn. He contacted Klipsch and they said they had been looking for that speaker for the museum. He ended up selling the speaker to them. Just thought is was cool to actually see a an old piece of Klipsch History. I did not realize they made the horns out of wood in the early days.
  8. Hey No, and it killed me. It would have been a trade but I needed the money. I really wanted the speakers.
  9. I do have that one. I really don't know what I will be doing until I hear the speakers.
  10. I have no way to audition them but your correct, I really have nothing to loose.
  11. Hey all. First speaker in 1981 was the Klipsch Herersy. Saved and saved to get these speakers and enjoyed them for years. Now back in the fold after inheriting a Klipsch system including 2 chorus speakers, 2 Forte II speakers, a center channel and a 15" sub. Anyway, my question is, I have a chance to get a great deal on a pair of P-38F speakers. I have never heard or seen these in person. Any thoughts on these? I am old school and used to speakers having lareg woofers not three small woofers. I am sure with all the engineering I am sure they are great but just having problems making a choice. I would not be losing money and could sell them eaisly if I choose. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I would be using the speakers with a home theater system and music wise I am a big fan of progressive rock such as the Flower Kings, Yes, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Spocks Beard, etc.
