  1. Similar, not identical, complaint with our two-way Crites Cornscalas. No bass!! Mids & highs seemed so far ahead of the bass in our home, we just couldn't get past it. Finally moved one wire on the auto-transformer and changed one cap, as mentioned above and per BEC. Audio nirvana ensued! Had wondered long and hard about other crossovers, tube amps, etc. Not any more. Try it.
  2. Thanks everyone. I haven't been inside 'em myself, they are ALL new inside. So, out of phase inside is possible. Although, the feller that did 'em up really knows his Klipsch stuff. Anyone can make a mistake. I'll get inside over the weekend and update.
  3. Proper phasing. Not square, but cancellation may still be a possibility. Carver CT6 & m500t. The old 500 is better than a Sunfire 600 on these, believe it or not. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd have this problem when I decided to get the Corns. I can always crank the bass knob way up, but it ain't right. Got me considering tubes, something I've avoided for near 40 years..... Appreciate the input, folks.
  4. Got 'em against the wall. Corners, unfortunately, I cannot do.
  5. Well, not near enough bass. Might it help to remove the two inch risers & get them woofers as close to the floor as possible?? Loose old house, wooden floors, bookshelves & such I can't reposition to help.
  6. I'll cheat and name the three last concerts. Dwight Twilley. Rock & roller who verged on making the big time, but not quite. Fine rock show. Bill Kirchen. Hot rod Lincoln fame. 'Titan of the Telecaster' barely does justice to this guy. Amazing, I'll do whatever I have to do to see Kirchen again. Seriously. Jimmy Webb. Songwriting career speaks for itself. Performance maybe not terrific, but the stories and just being in the same room with the feller that wrote & composed all those hits is well worth it. I've seen him five times in the past four years. I'll see him again. All of these at a place called the Blue Door in Oklahoma City. Not a bar. Only exists as a place to encourage young singer songwriters. Seats a hundred, they don't so much as sell sodas. Bring something to drink, pop or wine. I've seen such a wide variety of performances in the Blue Door, never a disappointment. I hope there is someplace like this in every town. But, I know there ain't.
