    Swap speakers, if the noise follows, then, the problem is the speaker; if not, then, most likely an amp or wire problem.

    The 4000 can go to 9.2 with external amp; can attach 11.2 speakers, but only process 7.2 or 9.2 with amp at a time.

    Thank you for your service; I never liked the heat, either, prefer the mild winter, we get a decent snow every 5-7 years here. Heat is OK, as long as the 85 F. Gulf is handy.
