Just wanted to say a huge thank you to stpete for the diagnosis, habersham for the parts, and everyone else for the pointers and pictures. Fix took barely 20 mins and completely knocked out the background hum that has been plaguing my existence for the past month. Going on 12 years with these speakers, so glad to have them functioning perfectly again! Thanks!
