  1. Yeah, I gave e-mail a shot again... quickly told to look elsewhere. Any ideas on who you talked to?
  2. Ok, Update. I will sell the KLF 30's separately. In fact, I may hold onto the C7 as I'd like to find a medium oak one. So, I've had a few people ask me if I would sell just the KLF 30's - I will. Would ask $800.00 but open to offers. I'm still interested in... epic CF4's, or an oak C7 center channel (also need a single C7 grill..)
  3. Harley, did you call or e-mail klipsch. I find with e-mail they have not been real responsive or have sent me to an outside vendor on a few other things (I need a C7 grill, in addition to potential drivers for CF4's).
  4. Shot in the dark. Was putzing around looking at alternatives. These are not inexpensive.. but just in case. http://www.usspeaker.com/beyma 12MwNd-1.htm
  5. quick question - should there be gaskets between the compression drivers and horns on the CF series? Also, took my KV4 apart (well, fed ex helped with that, bastards). But interesting there is a screen on the front of that compression driver, there is not on the CF4's. The KV4 center crossover is listed - Epic CF2... not shocked. but just an FYI.
  6. I"m fortunate in that I have a dedicated listening room so the MTM works out just fine. I like these enough that I do plan on sending in the crossovers to have caps etc changed out. Though, I suspect it will be more placebo than anything as these look pretty dam clean and good. But it's pretty inexpensive. I'm fortunate, these are V1's 251st day of 1994 build. My klf 30's are late builds, also fortunate in that the cabinets are rock solid.
  7. Like many of you I have owned lots of Klipsch over the years (although with some serious gaps in between).. KG4's, Quartets, kg 3.2's, Palladium P37's (along with the P27c center). Haven't modded any of them (yet). I still have the 3.2's (exercise room beaters). The Palladium's were really good, but did get a little bright for me when pushed and were really lean in the bass. But they had no horn coloration that I could detect. Recently, I came into the KLF30's and the CF4's. Both are good. I like the CF4's a bit better (bone stock). Slightly smoother and a bit lower bass response. I do detect a little horn coloration, but it's not bad. Honestly, I like the CF4's a bit better than I liked the Palladium P37's. The KLF 30's are really good, I can see how with mods they might become spectacular. I'm selling the 30's (I think), but part of me wants to mod the heck of out them and shoot them out with stock CF4's. Got really lucky finding the CF4's fairly local.
  8. Looks like I scored some CF4's and a KV center... so I'm a little more open to offers on these. Thanks.
  9. dropped you a PM and a text.
  10. SOLD! Thanks. Both are black. the C7 is a 9/10 condition wise. That said, it has no grill The KLF 30's, one of the speakers has a damaged back left corner. It's a bit rounded. The other KLF 30, the top front corners are slightly dinged. A black sharpie could take care of it, but a couple small spots of veneer are flaked off and the corners are not totally square. The grills cover much of it. But, being black - easy to touch up. I just haven't so that you can have a good idea what you are getting. Short of those dings, I would give them a 8/10 condition wise. Cabinets are absolutely solid, no rattles. Otherwise, bone stock condition. Was going to use them for a project. They are not boxed up yet, so if you want to give them a listen, that is fine. I will ship, however at your cost and I will not be responsible for damage. I have boxes with a full layer of styrofoam to go around them. But, FedEx and UPS I find take great pride in damaging speakers. Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. So, about 2 hours from chicago, 2 from detroit. I travel Michigan for work a bit and could possibly help deliver. Speaking of the project. I have 4 of the Ciare HW321 woofers that get rave reviews. Brand new, still in boxes. I would throw them in for an additional $500.00. Would like to sell them as a combo package. $1300 for the KLF30's and C7. $1800 for the package deal with the Ciare woofers. The picture of the rear left corner on one is shown. The other KLF 30 pictures are all of the one with the damage on the top corners. I took a picture with the grill on also. Pictures are unedited and with a flash. Thanks.
  11. As it says. Even the frame/pegs would work, I can always get new cloth. Thanks.
  12. If anyone out there has one or two midrange horns that fit the KLF 30 (I think it's just the 30/20 and the KV4 that use that particular horn, but I'm open if you know something else) Don't need the drivers. Just the horns actually. I would be interested. Thanks!
  13. Well, Think I'm passing on these. There is no filler or stuffing in them other than a couple of foam pads curved from the sides to the base of the bottom of each speaker, sort of around the woofer. Damage at the bottom of one on the inside like the back of the speaker was hastily pryed off. The ports are different lengths, the "screens" are missing in each horn that would typically be at the front of the compression driver. They are on consignment and it's not the original owner. Too expensive to roll dice. Wasn't going to pull the horn out. Someone did a refinish job on them...seemed too sketchy to roll dice even at $650.00
  14. I was flat out willing to pay cash for them and had a buddy set to pick them up. Guy gave me a weird address (gas station), quit responding to texts and when I tried calling a second time simply said they are sold via text. So, hoping someone got a great deal... I'm really more interested in CF 4's or CF 3's... but KLF 30's are on my list also.
  15. Dude isn't responding. Offered to pick-up ASAP... nothing.
  16. I tried to buy them almost as soon as they posted. Got weird responses, tried calling guy didn't pick up. Called next day and said they were sold. Was pretty frustrating, but also had a bit of a concern they were a scam.
  17. Been on a search for Epic CF 3 or 4's. Found a pair of 3's. someone did a poor refinish job on the tops, and they are slightly overpriced. But before I go negotiating on them. serial numbers 21394.... So, figure 213th day of 94 so right about August 1st. I'm thinking V1 But, one port on each speaker is 5 inches, but the other is 2 3/4. I presume both ports should be 5 inches? Thoughts? (and how hard is finding the ports for these, along with other parts)
  18. Well, did not buy them. They were at an estate sale for 850 dollars. Everything went half price today so I checked last night and they were available as of 4:30 pm. Got there early this AM but someone ponied up the full $850.00. At 425 I was all over them, but 850 was a bit steep!
  19. They are not 2's. From what I can tell these are late production Cornwall I's. Serial number - 8504959 and 8504960 So, my guess is Cornwalls from 1985, Oiled Walnut (they could use some oil). Grills could use a little work, but not bad. Dust everywhere. I think I can get them tomorrow for 425, or maybe a little less. I've owned KG4's and Quartet's way back in the day. Had the Palladiums P37's for a while. These would just be a fun little project, so wondering how they sound etc, how the crites upgrades help etc. Wondering what parts typically need replacing or upgrading. Thanks.
  20. I may have the chance to buy a pair of very good (From what I can tell) original Cornwall speakers tomorrow. Possibly for $425.00 or less. Cabinets are in outstanding condition (8/10), maybe a little stain here or there and a small crack but nothing bad. A lot of dust, but seemingly good shape. I didn't have much of a chance to listen to them other than to know they seem to be in working order. Consecutive serial numbers. It's one of those looks like a great deals so maybe I'll pick them up if I can get them cheap. The "type" is CWO Definitely originals based on the speaker terminals and that the rear of the speaker is removable and it appears all drivers are mounted from the rear. ... have the cornwalls changed much over the years? How do they sound with the various crites upgrades etc? Any info would be GREAT!
  21. I have 2 JL Audio E112 subwoofers in gloss black. About 3 months old. Just not using them enough to justify keeping them. Boxes, etc. I would consider breaking them up. Can meet / Deliver within 3 hours of 49009 (kalamazoo). Asking $1600.00 each. I will ship.
  22. My goodness this is a great deal. If I had 6k freed up right now I might jump.
  23. If anyone out there is thinking of stretching the budget for this deal I suggest that they do. This is one of the more smoking deals I've seen in a while.
  24. Nice set-up. I would agree that the center channel is the star in the palladium line-up. I sold off my P37's and P27 a while back and miss that center in particular. I'm slightly tempted…but have to hold off. Question - is that the palladium sub I see in the corner?
