My Dennis Had Inspire LP-3.1 came in today.It was an original LP-3a and I exchanged emails with Dennis and sent it in for an upgrade,complete upgrade inside and I even had him change the faceplate.I’m going to use it in bedroom system and for now I installed it in my main system and the little preamp is sounding great,.if it just had a remote control.

The seller has these listed in the general section on Craigslist I just emailed them suggesting that they also list them in the electronic section.

Nothing like listening to Eric Clapton on my vinyl setup on a cold winter night.I finally finished some maintenance on my Yamaha PF-800 turntable.I had to add silicon oil to the arm release and now the arm slowly drops on the record,I also installed my new Denon DL -103r cartridge.I had a friend from NC help me setup everything and he is not a Klipsch guy but after we got everything dialed in he was blown away by the sound.I almost sold this table before Christmas I am glad I decided to keep it,I love the way it looks and also how it sounds.Playing vinyl is a labor of love and when I am playing records it kinda takes me back to a time when I just enjoyed the music and I was not so critical about the sound.Some of my best memories was going into Dixie hi-fi looking at the monster receivers,reel to reels,cassette decks,speakers and turntables.

The Carver amp arrived today and right out of the box the amp sounds great, I have it hooked up to a Marantz SA-11S3 using the gain control on the amp for volume .I am shocked at how deep the bass is and no edge at all on the top end .

I am awaiting delivery of a Bob Carver VTA-20 Tube Power amp that I bought last night off audiogon,I am also waiting on my Dennis Had Inspire preamp.It was a Model LP-3a and I am having it upgraded to his latest model LP-3.1 .I talked to Dennis before Christmas and he was excited about how nice it turned out and I am looking forward to hear the 2 pieces with my Klipschorns.I will post pictures once I receive them and have them setup.

We moved to Tennessee in 2009 and bought a home with the same replacement cost of our home in NC and the cost of insurance was 30% higher and car insurance was 50% higher due to living in a tourist area.I finally found a company that the rates was only 20% higher on home and 25% higher on car.Then we had the major fires in East Tennessee,we had no claims and our rates tripled.We had to up our deductible to 2500.00 and the rates only doubled.Don’t get me started on health insurance.

The turntable is no longer for sale, I sold my other Yamaha YPD-08 today.
