  1. I am still looking for two K-77-M tweeter diaphragms and one K-77 diaphragm - ideally in Canada to keep the shipping costs low - thanks!
  2. Looking for a single LaScala or Hersey to purchase in Southern Ontario in Canada.
  3. I seem and heard the new Klipschorns at the Toronto Audio Fest. The setup was in a huge room with lots of competing noise in the background - the Klipschorns did not have a favorable corner setup - when I listened to a familiar recording, they still sounded excellent. I have 1985 K-horns and if there was a factory upgrade option (ie. to convert an older model to the latest model), I`d be interested. When I listen to K-horns, I compare them to real life sound (ie. playing in a Bluegrass jam) - many audiophiles who have not owned K-horns and have a casual listen tend to only compare the K-horn to other speakers not giving it a long term listening chance. I am looking forward to hearing the new Klipschorns at the 2020 Axpona for a longer listening session and will bring my own CD`s (maybe near the end of the day).
  4. I will be going from Toronto to Dayton Ohio on Nov 1st 2019 weekend in the case someone has K-77-M tweeters and one K-77 diaphragms for sale.
  5. I will be going to Dayton Ohio on Nov 1st 2019 weekend in the case someone has a single K-22-e 67 (Eminence)-8119 woofer for sale. Just looking for a spare as I really am fond of my restored Heresy speakers.
  6. I will be driving from Toronto to the Axpona 2019 show in Chicago in case anyone has some K-77-M tweeters and one K-77 diaphragms for sale.

  9. I will be driving to the Axpona 2019 show from Toronto in case anyone has Hersey K-22-e woofer for sale.
  10. I will be driving to Nashville during the August 27th, 2018 week in case anyone has one of these for sale.
  11. I will be driving to Nashville during the August 27th, 2018 week in case anyone has some of these.
  12. The shipping prices from the US to Canada are high. I am looking at inexpensive options for now as this is an experiment to hear some K-77-M tweeters in the Heresy's.
  13. My restored Heresy 1's had the K-77-M tweeters and both voice coils are open. I had a set of spare K-77 tweeters and I am using in place of the K-77-M. I'd like to try a cheap experiment to rebuild the K-77-M and try them in the Heresy's in place of the K-77.
  14. I have two K-77-M tweeters and one K-77 tweeter that require diaphrams. I am checking if anyone in Canada has any for sale (Crites or Klipsch). I am also open to buying in the US along my road trips (Toronto to Texas around July 13th, 2018 and Toronto to North Adams on September 13th, 2018).
  15. My Heresy restoration project was a success and the sound quality of these speakers has exceeded my expectations! Thus, I am checking to see if anyone along my route of travels through the US (from Toronto to Lubbock around July 13 - 22, 2018 or Toronto to North Adams around September 13, 2018) has another K22-e woofer for sale. Specifically, the speaker with the dark woofer has the original K-22-e date code 67-8305 woofer and the other one has a K-22-e 67 (Eminence)-8119 - thus, I am looking for a woofer that will match one of these as close as possible. I haven't taken any frequency response measurements of each of the speakers yet and my ears perceive them to sound identical - the only reason I want a matching woofer is because I intend to keep the speakers and use them without grills. I also have the other original K-22-e date code 67-8305 woofer in case someone has an original Klipsch K-22-e recone kit (although I suspect this is unobtainium).
  16. The dust cap is a bit smaller on yours but otherwise, they look very close. I am interested in buying and PM sent. Thanks again for replying to the post and the pictures!
  17. Hi John, Do you have a shot of the front so I can see how it matches the one I have (the one I have doesn't have that silver sticker but it is a square magnet). I am interested and thanks for your post. PM Sent. Greg
  18. I am looking for one matching Klipsch K-22e woofer to restore a set of Heresy 1 speakers. Have a look at the picture to see that it is a square magnet with 67-8305 code on it (not sure if that is important). I am in Canada and will be driving through New York state to North Adams, MA on Thursday September 14th for the weekend in case someone is located along the way who has one to sell. I am open to other option, including a set of matching Heresy woofers or perhaps someone has had a set of Heresy woofer's re-coned and has information on who can do a really good job.
  19. Selling the Heresy is an option of course but I like the idea of finding or building another matching Heresy for the one I found on the curb. Seeing the build quality of the Heresy and its restored potential reminds me of restoring a vintage automobile or motorcycle.
  20. Much appreciate this detailed information HDBRbuilder!!! If I build the cabinet, how difficult will it be to source the matching mid-range horn and square magnet woofer (I have a picture in the original post and the serial #154Y XXX) ? I already have some spare tweeters and the Type E-2 crossover should be straight forward to duplicate.
  21. I contacted the seller a few days ago asking if he would ship to Canada and no reply. Those cabinets are very nice!
  22. I contacted the seller a couple of days ago through ebay asking if he would ship to Canada and he did not reply.
  23. I didn't realize there is a veneer on the cabinet and that will make it a much harder task to build a matching cabinet. I have a post in the Garage section looking for a single speaker or cabinet like mine. Thanks for the information.
  24. I found a single Heresy speaker on the curb and am thinking of building a matching cabinet so that I can acquire the other parts to make an identical speaker . The serial number is #154Y XXX with a Type E-2 Crossover. My brother can do the precision cutting of the wood where he works. I will need to supply the wood and am inquiring to see if anyone out there may be able to give me the information I need to buy the wood (I am located in Ontario in Canada). This will be my first cabinet building project and I suspect it should be straight forward as the Heresy cabinet I have uses butt joints. If anyone out there has built a Heresy cabinet from scratch, that will be great to read about your experience!
