  1. $250 plus shipping (real heavy). I purchased this new from SI and opened the box upon delivery to verify the condition (which was perfect) but never completed my 2nd enclosure so it’s never been used. If there’s any interest I’ll pull it from the box for some current photos.
  2. No I haven’t cracked open the chassis yet. Is there a particular location where dust can cause a short? Thanks for your reply.
  3. My old 2nd hand B&K AV5125 has developed a glitch. It will turn on and work for a few moments before shutting off. When this glitch started occurring the amp would work for longer periods of time before shutting down. The working duration shortened over time and now it basically shuts down immediately. Has anyone experienced something similar and know what might be the cause? Thanks
  4. Looks like a kickass setup. I’m surprised no one has responded yet. Nulls can be tough. Is your room square? Is the null only present in certain measurement locations?
  5. Looks like they're overpriced for "home-built" Klipsch.
  6. Hi yall, I'm resurrecting my old thread regarding an issue I've had since completing my subwoofer build. Specifically, I've always struggled with a distracting hum from my subwoofer. It was to the point where I would rarely turn it on and was very frustrated after working through what may be causing it. Well, I happened across a Monoprice brand XLR to RCA cable on Amazon which would let me bypass the Art CleanBox pro that I had in-line between my receiver and subwoofer amp. I've never seen a cable in this configuration before and thought it was worth a shot to isolate the CleanBox as the source of the hum. Sure enough, the hum completely disappeared when I pulled the CleanBox out of the system. Even with my subwoofer amp gain turned all the way up there is no hum. Naturally this creates another problem since the receiver's subwoofer out jack doesn't provide the same signal level as I was getting through the Cleanbox. Do you guys know of another way to compensate for the loss of gain that the CleanBox was providing? Of course I could just turn up the gain on the sub, but i'm still not getting the same oomph as I was with the CleanBox. I'm also wondering if I maybe had a defective CleanBox...what do you think the odds are of that?
  7. Wow, you’re putting that Heresy center channel to work!
  8. Do you ever have a reason to drive up I-95 towards Charleston?
  9. I've always wanted one of these just for the lights. Reminds me of KITT from Knight Rider.
  10. Very stout amp. Emotiva doesnt make 'em like they used to.
  11. Do y’all realize this thread is 7 years old?
  12. That’s a fantastic deal for someone. Should go fast.
  13. As far as I can tell without having them side by side. They look the same in pictures.
  14. Anyone happen to know why Klipsch changed the crossover point from 2000 Hz in the RF-82 down to 1400 Hz in the RF-82II? The drivers seem to be the same between the two models.
  15. You can always build a box for the driver and use an external amp like a Inuke to power it. What was the asking price of the driver you almost bought? Problem with going this route is that if you're going to build a box for a DIY sub, you might as well buy an 18" Ultimax instead of the 10" Klipsch driver.
  16. Good choice. Your son or daughter will enjoy watching disney movies in there. The intro scene to Toy Story 2 will give those subs a workout.

    What I Got Today!

Just happened to be the first guy to respond to the Facebook Marketplace ad the seller posted yesterday. Honestly I worried that it might be a scam because of the low price and poor photos, but the seller was located in a nice neighborhood and he was very responsive to messages. Remarkably, the seller was knowledgeable of what he was selling and was familiar with Klipsch. He just seemed in a rush to sell. Super nice guy too.

    What I Got Today!

    Finally got a @Youthman deal. RF-82s in as-new condition for $100.
  19. Do these require an external crossover?
  20. Are you using Klipschorns for surround duty with your Polks upfront?
  21. I’ve never heard of anyone adding a super tweeter to the reference series. Seems like I’ve seen people add external tweeters to La Scalas, but that’s pretty rare.
  22. That’d drive me crazy too. I’m a bit OCD about that kind of thing. How is the tweeter attached to the box on that model?
