  1. The sound is awsome for the whole 15 minutes I had to listen to it before I had to go to work. I haven't really even set it up yet or had time to play with any settings. I just plugged it in and put on a movie. I only have it a 1/4 gain, and probably won't turn it up any louder. It's way more than I had anticipated. Now, just have to figure out how to "hide" it, to make my wife happy by it's appearance. Will probably look for some kind of screen. Everything really sounds great along side my 83/64 set up.

  2. Picked it up today. I work nights, so I took some timing on both our schedules. But it's on its way via my wife, and I'll hook it up in the morning when I get home, or in the afternoon when I get up.

  3. Will post pic soon, supposed to pick it up tomorrow. Has anyone ever tryed to paint a textured composite box. It has some light scratches and some discoloration and water marks on the top. I would like to paint it if it is possible, but don't know. I don't want to do anything to make it look worse. I can live with the way it currently looks. If anyone has ever done it or knows how, please let me know. Thanks,

    Chad

  4. If I had the oppurtunity to pick one of these monsters up for around the $550 to $600 dollar range, would it be worth it? How does it sound comparied to a more current sub, such as an HSU VTF-3 Mk3 or 4? I would be using it 90% HT, 10% music? Oppinions please.

    Thanks,

    Chad

  5. This is probably an no brainer, but which sub for HT use only. Epik dynasty or HSU VTF-2 MK3. in rosewood. I really like the rosewood. But only $50 difference between the two, the hsu being cheaper. Both used of course. Let me know your opinions. Thanks,

    Chad

  6. Need to be educated. I currently have an 83/64 setup on Onkyo 809, I think. I just bought a new sub. and need to know learn more about hooking it up, and some cable differences. First, I will primarily be using if for HT purposes. Is it better to hook it up using a single cable LFE or Y connection. Also need help choosing a cable. What is the difference between these two other than brand name? http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-Ultra-Series-Subwoofer-Cable/dp/B003FVX9FO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1383122127&sr=8-4&keywords=subwoofer+cable

or is there some other cable that would be better. As always I appreciate all the education that yall provide. Thanks,

  7. Unfortunately, I have around a $500 budget. Don't know the Room size as I will be moving. Currently have a large living room that open into the kitchen. Also don't really want a sub as big as an end table. Would consider a 15, if needed. I am currently considering a rsw 12, but am not sure if that will be my final decision. Thanks,

    Chad

  8. I have the opportunity to pick up a rsw 12 for around the $500 range or rsw 10 around the $3 to 4 hundred range. Is there a truly noticeable difference? Are either suitable for home theater use or are there better options in that price range? I'm afraid the 10 will be lost in my current setup, which is a 83/64. I have a fairly large room that open to my kitchen, but will only be in this house a few more months, then will more and don't know where yet. Please give me your opinions. I'm also looking for a reasonably small footprint. Would something in the newer line be better, such as sw311, or a totally different band. I'll most likely be buying used. Thanks for your help.

    Chad.
