  3. One has been found. Disregard this WTB thread. Thanks for looking.
  4. Thanks Mongo171! The quest for a kv3 should be over. Should have a kv3 on its way to me fairly shortly. Can't wait!
  5. Awesome, thanks! Just mailed the dude. Just curious what site you are using to search all the craigslists?
  6. Looking for a klipsch kv3 center at a reasonable price. My kg3.5 fronts are feeling lonesome with out a center haha. Would prefer medium oak or black, but any will do if the price is right. Thanks.
  7. It is these comments that it why I will keep up the lookout for a KV3. Off to the classifieds I go.
  8. Oh and thanks for the welcome. I live in good ole Washington (updated my location).
  9. So looks like it is prolly worth waiting for a kv-3 over a kv-2. As for the kg2.5v vs the kg2.5, aside from the magnetically shielding (not needed for lcd/plasma) since it is not horn loaded there are no special orientation for either? They both will sound the same when laid horizontally? Reason I ask is maybe I will pick up a set of 2.5 speakers, use one as a center until I find a kv3 then move them back to the surrounds. Is $150 too steep for a pair of kg2.5 in excellent shape? Hard for me judge what I should pay when I paid 80 bucks for my kg3.5 pair haha. Edit: Well count out a kg2.5 out as a center, too tall. The kv-3 is a perfect fit... Guess it is a sign.
  10. OK got myself some nice kg3.5 speakers in great shape and am building a surround sound setup off of them as my fronts. Have a denon 1713 as my avr and already got the sub. Main question I have is, is the Kv3 worth the money and wait over the kv2? Was shooting at a kv3 on eBay and backed out when total cost approached $150. The kv2s pop up quite frequently, the kv3 is a little less common. Maybe i should raise my price range for the kv3. Is there another speaker I should maybe be keeping an eye out for as a tonal match? Saw a kg2.5v which was another center (book shelf turned sideways) and a ksc-c1 but not sure though how they will match. Any help on the manner would be great.
  11. Awesome, thank you both for the help. Gonna glue it in this weekend and will experiment with gasket tape / rope caulk on my horns.
  12. Anyone got any suggestions? I know there are some very knowledgeable people on here.
  13. Hi all, just picked up a pair of kg3.5 speakers and got a few questions for you all. Got them for a steal (80 bucks!) and want to get these back in tip top shape. The port tube is loose on one speaker and easily comes out. I wrapped the base with tape so it was a tighter fit and it seems to work fine now. Was it originally glued in? Also what is the preferred way for getting a good seal on the tweeter horn to cabinet? I have seen some recommend rope caulk and other closed cell window gasket/speaker tape. One of the horns no longer has the thin gasket and figured I would do the same thing to both speakers. Thanks for any info on addressing either issue.
