  1. Trey is busy big time, me too.......lots to do.........and it's almost time
  2. Sure, using receivers as a pre-pro would be the least expensive alternative. That's what I will do if and when my pre dies.
  3. Way Kool about Lee at the Noodle....nice place if you don't mind smelling like a sig for hours later. Jam nights are fun, but I don't smoke....good time to ride the bike home to blow off the smell LOL My wife and I have been to NO many times and Burbon St is a blast, don't do the strip clubs though....Blues Club is good, nice bands
  4. It sounds like an issue with the auto on circuit. We offer a repair service on that amp, give Tech support a call to discuss. We are on eastern time
  5. Mount them to the ceiling, the center section on the foot pops out giving you access to the key hole slots, tighten the screws holding it in the key holes and pop the cover back on.
  6. 4 1/4-20 threaded inserts on the back, Omnimount 30.0 STMP 24 lbs weight, but I would hang them on the key hole mounts like a picture. # 10 or # 12 wood screw in a stud.....how mine are hanging in my bedroom HT
  7. Sorry about the delay, I don't feel the 5 would be over kill vs the 3. Your 90 wpc should be fine with the 50 rating of those speakers, set them to small in the speaker setup in the Onkyo
  8. This is mine forth one over in the blog pic, next to the Jeep.......
  9. Yes, they would sound fine. I think these are close-outs, have been out of production since about 2004. Stll a few left
  10. Sure, they would be fine as surrounds. Sound Distributors is autherized to sell, they are close outs, last generation production. $570 a pair was MSRP while in production.
  11. I was Vol Fireman for 20 years, pro trained, this type of thing always hits too close to home. The town I lived close to in NC, Salisbury, two city Firemen died about a month ago. Frist in 30 years. They are out there with their lives on the line everytime they go out. It happens, but that does not make this news easy at all.
  12. That is NOT a Klipsch lable, "someone" changed it as the s/n is gone
  13. Steve....OMG that is to die for, king of cookers for sure.....remember I moved up to Indy from NC, grilled out a lot for VFD fund raisers. BTW the grill cloth die turned out nice, very nice
  14. "Right now the plan is to ride up on Thrusday evening or Friday Morning. We will be looking for a cheep place to stay within 50 miles or so of the event. " Maybe leaving here sometime Thursday as the gig starts on the 28 and runs to Sunday the 31..........My thought was to leave here sometime on Thursday(early) and head home Sunday....lots of planing to do....this will be a blast and I personally want to get in as much time as I can, or untill we burn slap out on it.
  15. What did you have in mind? Hang out a bit, it's always nice to hang out with speaker types like us and maybe get some good ideas where to part our stuff for a few days as well as sleeping place thoughts .....more of a bike weekend than anything else, but we are wanting to make the trip
  16. "Hope you don't mind Horns and Tubes while multi-tasking." Horns and tubes? I have a horn on my bike, and tube frame.................O shoot, you meant speakers and tube amps....were was my brain.....just kiding. Tubes and horns in my 2 channel room...pass on tossen a few down.....stay away from my bike when i do that stuff....LOL Harry, about your dad, sorry for your loss...... Mine passed away in 1974, I lost a best friend. We got along great and I miss sharing stuff with him even to this day. He was never really my father, but my dad and buddy. He would have gotten a kick out of his grand kids...
  17. Well the CDT's are rated at 50 and 200 peak. If you are careful with the volume levels, you may be OK with 200 wpc. 500x3? Be careful with both sets of speakers........head room is nice, but too much of a good thing may offer less than good results. True, I do use a 3 channel amp that clips at 275 per with speakers rated at 100 nom, but I run them small and have had no issues....1980 Cornwall's L&R with 1982 Cornwall center. My 2 cents
  18. At CES and CEDIA we uesd 300 wpc, I can not say room size, but big and loud...you can use the head room. So, 200 to 300 should be the thought
  19. If you want to keep the SS-1's, look at the F-2 and C-2 Synergy. May come a bit closer to matching then the Refernce series. The SS-1 was repalced by the S-2.
  20. R-3800-W or the R-3650-W should be fine with the C-2
  21. The RF-82 system would be fine in that room. My room is 23 deep, 14 wide 8 foot high....I used RB-75's Land R with a RC-64 and RS-7's with RB-5's as back surrounds. It was plenty, I cold do 110 db in there without problems But today, three Cornwall's up front with 4 KPT-8001's, THX Ultra2 subs up front with RT-12d in the back.....Aragon pre and power. Your room is large enough to do about anything, La Scala's up front? Maybe a bit over kill, but I would try it.........I was very happy with the Ref system, but what I have now is great
  22. Look into something like this as you do not want to attach anything to the back of the cabinet. The cabinet was not designed for that http://www.haropa.com/product/15_100.html
  23. You can order that by the yard from our parts dept..........800-554-7724 option 3
