I have a set of very nice klipsch tangent 500 speakers with upgraded crites xovers titanium diaphrams and some cabinet work (bracing and polyfill) they sound very nice and are in 8 out of 10 condition there are a couple scratches here and there but nothing terrible. Im starting a home theater project and would like to try something else. Im looking to see what else is out there it needs to be towers though and i dont want synergy series, maybe klf 20, klf 30, cf 3, cf 4, kg 5.5 5Anything in the reference series just let me know what you got i cant figure out how to post pics but can send them through phone or email. I am in the portland oregon area but will meet thanks.

As beeker said wheni switched the midrs same result with both so that leads me to believe crossover

Ok thanks for all the replies guys i switched the horns and it did the same thing.... im sending off the xovers to crites to get them rebuilt and ordering the titanium tweeters at the same time im very anxious to see how these will sound....!!!

Ok guys i recently picked up a pair of tangent 500s. I am ordering crites xovers, titanium diaphrams, but would like to do more mods maybe brace the cabs, fill them so they are not so open inside to tighten the bass? Any other mods you would suggest? What do i use and how do i fill the cabinet? Do i use foam? And how do i go abou bracing the cabs? Thanks in advance for all the suggestions guys im a newb to mods

Well got the tangents home and one of the mid horns is ccrackling/popping and very dull sounding, how and what do i replace it with?

We will find out tonight i will do some extinsive a/b testinig with my kgs and these beasts lol

This is my first klipsch two way ive had quartets and heresy 2 and im hoping they will compare with the quartets because i loved those

Correct if im wrong but from what ived read they will not have the bass or build quality of my kgs. Is that a correct assumption?

Hi guys i have a chance to pick up a pair of tangent 500 in mint condition for 150$ and am wondering. How these would compare to my kg 5.5? Any input is much appreciated.

My area is 14x16 and I would like cornwalls but don't know if I have the room width wise and I've had quartets in the past and I don't know if it would be much of an upgrade....
